When I talked to the office about first moving in, the lady was very nice and raved about the wonderful maintenance staff. She did tell me that since the community was older it would look older and not be so nice and such. So I took it as a great place to live with an honest staff...hmmm.

When I moved in I was missing a drawer in the kitchen so I called the office to have a work order put in for maintenance to put a drawer in the hole. I called again a month later and I got attitude from the office lady, but she reassured me that the order was put in again...still waiting. It's been another month and a half. However I do not want to put blame on the, I think two, maintenance guys. They seem to do their work well...when they do it at all. There must be some miscommunication between the office staff and maintenance staff.

The place has a REAL bad stray cat infestation that the office constantly lies about taking care of. On a rainy day it smells SOOOO bad like pure cat spray. It is embarrassing to have family and friends over because of the smell...which I have told the office about. The cats have pooped on my front steps and one, of the about eight that I've seen, likes to live under the bush by my front door. They scream and cry at all hours of the night, waking me up. They're fairly hideous looking things and have tried to come in my back door more than a few times. My two year old is terrified of them and doesn't want to play outside when they are visible because two of the cats were fighting in the parking lot when we were out one day.

As far as the interior of the apartment goes, I have no problem (aside from the missing drawer). It's older but nice. Until you dry your clothes and then you can smell whatever is going on in the neighbors apartment (the dryer exhaust goes into the crawl space that we're not allowed to use). Unfortunately my neighbors are smokers and I am not. I still can't get used to opening the laundry door and being overwhelmed by the smell of cigarettes. It's like someone is standing there and blows it right in my face.

When I moved in I was expecting to get what I paid for and to have things that need fixed to be done in a timely manor. So far all I've got is attitude and lies. *wonders if I put a bunch of tuna around the office if suddenly the strays will be taken care of*
