My husband and I moved here because it was cheap and we wanted to save money towards purchasing a home. The first night there we had to call the police because our neighbors house was being broken into by a crazy man kicking down their front door yelling obscenities. Soon after moving in, the apartment building we were living in was completely Roach infested. We reported it several times to mgmt. and it was never treated. When we first reported it to the main office, the girl working there acted as if roaches were not a big deal, telling me the apartment she lived in had bed bugs. I asked her what complex she lived in and she replied "here, at Regency Arms". I couldn't believe it! I was completely disgusted! We finally turned the complex in to The Health Department, who forced them to treat the apartment, and we were able to legally terminate our lease. When talking to The Health Department, I asked if they had problems in the past with Regency Arms. They informed me that they were "very familiar with problems at Regency Arms, especially with their swimming pool". In the 4 months that we lived there my husbands tires were slit on his car and his license plates were stolen from the car. On several occasions, upon arriving home from work, I was unable to get park in my apartments lot because it was blocked off by police cars who were in the middle of arresting people. On one occasion, I counted 6 men laying on the ground in handcuffs and several police cruiser surrounding them.
If you like roaches, bed bugs, crime, and vandalism, then Regency Arms would be a great place to relocate to! If not, find somewhere else. The cheap rent Regency Arms offers is not worth the problems it comes with.
