Honestly a Decent Place

I can't say I agree with the other reviews written here, although I must say it's not the best place in the world (if such an ideal apartment complex really exists anyway). The units themselves are well-taken care of, the appliances are nice and in good shape. You get a washer and dryer in your unit, and they even go so far as to provide free basic cable. Your water is also paid for. I find the rent fair considering its proximity to downtown and the size of the apartments (which I think is quite nice). They did raise our rent a whopping $20/month after one year (whoopdi-doo) - but who doesn't do that'

I've never had a problem with the maintenance. In fact there's never really been anything wrong with our apartment anyway. The noise isn't terrible, though you can hear your neighbors. We're on the second floor so we can hear those upstairs stomp around, and I can sometimes hear the TV of those next to us in the morning. I can usually hear noisy people on the steps and loud stereos as they pass by our building. But what do you expect in an apartment complex'

The neighbors are generally friendly and seem to mostly be professionals or single parent families. Most are respectable and respectful. Even the pool in the summer is relatively quiet - save for a few rambunctious kids (it is a pool, after all). It's a nice pool, by the way. Very clean and nice.

They also have a guest suite you can rent if you have people coming in. It's $50/night, the same as the Holiday Inn down the street. Although the decoration of the suite may be a bit cheesy, it's a nice thought.

The complex is extremely convenient to 270, and 70 is right down the road a bit. There's a Blockbuster and a nice Kroger down the road, and a couple miles down 33 in Canal Winchester there's even more. They're building a new grocery store across the street, also, and there will supposedly be a bit of a strip mall with it. Down Hamilton Rd. toward Refugee Rd., however, the neighborhood gets a little rougher. But unless you really need some Steak 'N Shake that shouldn't be a problem.

The office staff used to be nice, but I have found the new ones a bit rude. If I had to deal with them very often I'm sure it'd be more annoying, but since I don't it's not so bad. I have seen 1 car broken into in the two years I've been here and that's it. All that talk in the other review about organized crime seems a bit unreasonable to me. I feel quite safe here, and have never for a moment felt scared or in danger of being robbed.

All in all I think it's a good place to live. I'd probably stay if I didn't need to be closer to work. With the new developments in the area and the quality of the apartments I'm quite content. The rent is fine, the area is fine...it's honestly a decent place to live.
