The previous rating of a 4, who wrote that, one of the staff' As a mother of young children who live in this complex, I can tell you that the pool was closed alot this summer. Failure to open the pool on the weekend was consistent with the failure of office staff to show up on the weekends as well. The maintenance crew are nice, however, the response time averages three months or so, it's better to fix it yourself. The quality of construction is not top notch. Yes, we all hear the wind howling through our windows and feel the drafts pour in. I do not agree that this complex is for "low income." There is a minimum gross income that one has to achieve to qualify for residency. Once you qualify the initial year, there are no income qualifications or limits. To my knowledge, the complex does not accept Section 8 housing, like it's neighbor, North Point. But that in and of itself is a different issue. A very large fence needs built to restrict flow of residents from one complex to the next. I have seen in horror, the amount of children from the barely walking to teenagers who roam around here unsupervised. I'm just waiting for a crying mother to appear on TV, asking "why, why did someone take my baby'", when the answer is obvious, where were you' Later in the summer the police, mounted on their horses started to reappear. I was thankful for that. There was an incident early this fall, where a man was fleeing the police, heading toward the 'other' complex, pulled out a gun and was captured. I guess that could happen anywhere. So, one might ask, what's keeping you here' The answer is simple, cheap housing. It would be nice not to be a minority in my own neighborhood, but I guess everyone should know what that feels like at least once in their life. So for the time being, I'll drive past the men who stare non-stop at you, making you feel as though you've invaded their neighborhood, drive through the garbage ladened, dimly lit parking lots to my poorly insulated (yes, we hear the neighbors at ALL hours), whistling home, where I can afford to raise my children and provide food for them as well :)
