I will admit I loved my apartment. The construction of the place was wonderful and my children had a lot of friends and activities available to them there. One of the office staff was absolutely phenominal and while response to maintenance requests were timely, the problems repeated themselves. My dishwasher didn't work the entire time I lived there and repeated requests never resulted in replacement of the dishwasher, so I opted to quit having them come out and do dishes by hand. Although the rent was over $1000 a month, which I paid timely, I often came home to no parking space. I never painted or hung many things on the white walls. However, when I moved out after spending HOURS ensuring the place was in excellent condition to avoid being charged for anything, I was charged $200 for paint and $800 for carpet that was not new when I moved in and I had lived there for almost 3 years. Not sure where normal wear and tear falls into play here... I lived there specifically for the schools and location and had a fair experience.
