I lived in this community many years ago, and returned in Feb 2007 (through May 2007) as I searched for a house. I had read the review from early 2006 about previous management, so I was a little worried that things had changed for the worse, but I had an excellent experience. The management is now Empirian (www.epmapartments.com if you're looking for it) but I only dealt with the 2 women who work in the Ridgewood office, Brenda & her assistant. Brenda is very friendly and helpful - she made everything so easy and went out of her way on many occasions to be sure I was taken care of. The community is mostly long-term residents who respect the area and enjoy living an the middle of a true neighborhood instead of in a massive apartment complex. of course you get the occasional rude neighbor, but overall people there treat things more like owners than tenants. dogs are allowed, which i have seen end up destroying some complexes... but not here. people are very considerate, there are plastic bag stations set up around the complex, and no dogs that bark all the time or scare people. you can walk through the grass without stepping in poop, which is sadly unusual in other places i've lived that allow dogs. the ground-floor-only setup is great, and the washer/dryer hookups in the 1BR are very nice to have. units are aging, but they have kept them up and were very attentive to every request i had. they clean up trash frequently around the grounds, salt the walkways proactively, and never got cranky with me if i caught them in the parking lot with a problem or a question. i would definitely recommend this community if you are looking for a quiet, mature, friendly place to live in an established neighborhood; probably not a good fit if you are more interested in the things you usually get at large complexes like pools, clubhouses, loud parties, etc. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
