I lived at Silver Oaks Place for over a year total and found it to be a friendly, safe haven. I loved the convenience of being just 1-2 minutes from Giant Eagle, a large pharmacy, and an urgent care clinic. Although they have a nice library with fireplace on site with many large print books at Silver Oaks, the new public library is accessable by public transportation that comes directly to the door of Silver Oaks. This is so nice! The office is very well managed and so kind to us. The maintanance staff are over the top polite and helpful. I loved living at Silver Oaks and would highly recommend it.

Are you related to the Tell Family that owns and manages this community? If so, how dare you leave such a bias description of this less than desirable complex. The maintenance staff, right if you call them that...especially that Don Oliver who hit on me as well as my sisters who would come and visit our parents. He resided in the same building as my parents, had people parading through his apartment at all times of the day and night. Needless to say, my parents no longer live here!

Why do they have a retirement community this close to university, in a location so convenient to students. Old people don't have to take classes at Kent State or do they? Students have to walk in snow, work around public transport and get a car. While Old people live right next door to the university and don't have day-to-day business with the university.
