I have lived at LaFayette for about five months now, and at this point am not sure if I will renew my lease or not. I have requested maintence for things since day one and still have some of those same things as issues in my apartment. They are things that I can live with, but things that I do NOT want to pay for in the end. I have taken multiple pictures with a camera to prove they were not my fault. There were several areas on the walls and ceilings where you can see patching, and the paint was bubbled in many areas. The bathroom looks as if it was done before I was born, and I was told it would be replaced before I moved in, that was over a month before I moved. Have had to called the police on my neighbors many times, and I have never even seen them!'!' Had to have my fridge replaced with in the first week, but at least now, I know I have a new one. Currently there is a fridge down underneath our stairs and has been there for about three weeks. Have no idea why it is there. When the people beneath me were moving out the smell of drugs was so strong that I couldn't even walk outside my door with out getting sick to my stomach, and those weren't even the ones I had to call the cops on!!'!'!! They definately need to rethink the parking situation if at all possible, doesn't seem to be enough places to park on my side of the complex. Yes, they do try to keep up the outside, but this week it snowed for the first time since I have been there, and it seems that they just put a little bit of salt by the door, and no further than maybe ten feet from it. Almost fell quite a few times trying to get to my car. I have never been to the laundry facilities as they are in another building from mine and don't feel safe enough to walk over there after dark if needed, not very many lights on the property and the lights in the walkways don't always come on as they should.
Even thru all of this, when I have come into contact with Krista and Casey, they have been nothing but nice. They are the real reason I stay, they make you feel like they are trying, like things will get better. They do have a monthly (I think) pest control test where they go to each apartment to do a search/spray. They always call if they are going into the apartment before they go in. On the occasions that I have had to call the police, Krista has been there with me, which made me feel a lot better.
