I have lived here for 3 years and really like it. It is in a decent area in kettering. The rent is very reasonable. It was the cheapest that I could find 3 years ago. Recently I have been looking into moving because I have gotten a promotion. I have come to the conclusion that I may just move into a bigger apartment here at Lafayette Sq. The grounds are well kept and being improved all the time. I have never had any maintence issues that haven't been taken care of. The public hallway area is always swept and clean. Some could use a coat of paint but nothing really bad. There have been problems as far as police having to be called or showing up but that is to be expected in a community with so many people living in it. The apartments were built in '72 I believe so yes as before metioned there are some features that are dated. Mostly the bathrooms I believe. Nothing unliveable. My bathroom has an avacado green toilet and tub. Nothing one can't deal with. I actually love it cause I found towels, shower curtains etc that match it very well. The apartment manager is friendly and maintence lives onsite. Great laundry facilities and x-tra storage in the basement. But remember it is a basement that is unfinished. Painted cement floor etc. but clean. 5 or so large washers and 5 dryers. As for parking there is a bigger lot on one side of the building and a smaller lot on the other so I can only speak for my side in that there is plenty of parking. Rent that is very reasonable. don't believe me then shop around. if you're looking for affordable and don't need a pool and x-tras this is a nice place to live.
