My lease is from 11/05 to 09/06. They were hard-up for tenants in October 2005, so my rent is just $500 per mo.
I looked at a TON of places in the NE area of Lakewood, and this was by far the best. Just renovated kitchen has granite counters, ceramic tile floors, brand new stove, and they even threw in a free-standing dishwasher for free!
Very cool vintage look with beautiful hardwood floors, white trim/doors, and antique lace color walls.
Get a carport -- it's worth it.
The train is loud, but I kinda like the sound.
I can walk to Starbucks, Maria's Italian, or 24-hr CVS in less than 10 min.
Here's the bad:
There's always 1 or 2 laundry machines out of order.
The mail slots barely hold my netflix, and the mailman won't take mail I leave in there.
They cut the heat while there were still frost warnings in April and my apartment hovered just above/below 60 degrees for about 2 weeks -- brrrrrrrrr!
They offered to provide me a space heater (good to know, huh'), but of course you pay the electricity for that bad-boy.
