For starters the maintenance man, JB is horrible! He does not do anything but talk on cell phone and walk around. He is rude and hateful and does not know how to fix anything. When I moved into the apartment it had not been cleaned, and was expected to clean it myself. The carpet is very badly stained, and the walls haven't been painted. The grounds have only been mowed 3 times all summer and due to this there are fleas everywhere. We have been promised a playground and have yet to receive it. There is trash everywhere including used condoms, pop bottles, cigarette butts, beer bottles in the pond, and broken glass in breezeways.
I have been here less than 6 months and there has already been 3 different property managers. We were denied any higher up managers number by a higher up himself.
Other tenants that live here are loud, obnoxious, and trashy. There were tomato plants in front of one of the buildings, during the summer. A man is continually working on cars, at all hours of the day and night. Our security guard walks around with no shirt, no shoes, and a beer in his hand.
The pool sat untreated for over a month and had frogs living in it.
I plan on breaking my lease legally and would NEVER recommend this complex ever!

I didn't move I stayed and toughed it out...it got worse! I am happy to inform you Liberty Park Apartments are under new and much better management!! Things here have vastly improved over the last 5 months! Our new manager is taking care of issues as they arise! The lawn is being taken care of, there is some landscaping that has been done, garbage is being removed from premise as needed, and there is a new fenced in playground for children. Since new management has taken over the police patrol regularly! Maintenance is much better as well! There is a sense of community forming as well.

Since we live here too we find this funny because we know it's true, most of it anyways. I know of a few apartments where people grew tomatoes. The "security guard" is not a security guard at all it was a temporary attempt by the manager (at the time) and the guy who you say works on calls at all hours, well I've seen a few people work on cars in their garages and without any electric I don't know how you expect any of them to work on their cars at all hours. A few guys have generators but unless it is a violation to have a generator I don't see any laws being broken on that. Actually I see guys restoring old cars more than working on cars, there is a difference. I've talked to a few people about these apts and one woman told me she was shown an apt by the maint. man and he locked the door behind them when it was just the two of them and then told her that as long as he liked her then she'd be ok but he was going to get rid of those he didn't like and it was his mission. Another person said she was the manager here a few years ago and says JB was hired because he was friends with a former maintenance man here. I've been here since Oct 2007 and I am on a mo to mo basis but we are still looking to get out ASAP and are even getting rid of our family pets to be able to move into something better. I've even said that sometimes I'd rather live on the streets in a box than here.

Liberty Park is now under new management and are making a lot of improvements as of March '09. I feel things are getting better and they are doing everything they can. The manager in the office is caring and gets the job done when it needs done. I feel the property has made a complete turn around.
