Ridiculously Overpriced

I've lived at Nantucket for over two years now and I guess the place is okay when you don't do anything outside of just live here and don't do anything like try and host a gathering at the clubhouse or even something as simple as getting a pet.
When I initially signed my lease, the pet deposit was $250 which I felt was fair. After a year and a half of living here, I decided to get a pet, but called to doublecheck the amount of the deposit. It was suddenly $400 and an additional $37 added to your monthly rent. Unless you are housing a bear, no pet can cause $400 worth of damage if taken care of properly. And the additional $37 is just another way for them to steal money from you.
Speaking of stealing money, wait until it's time to renew your lease. My monthly rent has steadily gone up $13 each time I renewed my lease while they are still renting out the apartment floorplan I am in for the original price.
The place looks nice, but no apartment is worth this much. And I agree with most of the negative reviews on this site when they say the office staff is full of themselves. They are willing to answer your question if you have one question. But anymore than that or if they have to do anything extra gets you an exasperated tone of voice and ambivalence. And I have had to put in four separate maintenance requests to have my dishwasher fixed and will have to put in a fifth because it has gone out again.
