I lived at Somerset 1 year ago and my girlfriend and I moved because of the fact that you would have to walk at least 5 minutes with groceries as soon as you park. We couldn't park near the building ever, because neighbors constantly had friends over. The guy in the apartment under us would smoke weed and the smoke would drift up into our aprartment because the windows were open. The music would be blaring and shaking the apartment all the time. The maintenence people would just walk right in with out knocking or even calling us at all. I'm not saying the apartments weren't nice, but the outside was terrible. Then we would go to the gym and there would be 4 indian guys with their shirts off hogging all the equipment and no one could use them. Extremely rude. I'm not being discriminating, but its just the truth. Also, hoodlem kids just walking around with their shirts off and pants sagging at night. It was embarrasing to invite my family over to visit with me and for them to see that garbage. Nice apt. terrible everywhere else.

Parking has actually never been an issue for me. The longest I've ever had to walk to my building is about 100 feet. Regarding the maintenance people, I once called to report a clogged sink and the lady said they'd be out the next day. They finally showed up over a week later! Didn't call before they showed up, either...

As of this post, I've never had to park farther that 5 parking spaces from the path leading up to my building. There are spaces put in wherever they fit. Garages are available to rent as well.
I've had the same experience at the gym. But what I did was waited my turn, and about 15 minutes later the people offered me one of the spots they were giving up.
