We live in what we believe to be the most beautiful setting in the development--right on the lake--and that is what I will miss the most. Pros: Landscaping is immaculate and maintenance is performed within 24 hours by friendly maintenance guys. Setting is beautiful (lakes with ducks and geese, fountains and lovely weeping willows). Cons: Neighbors are very noisy (which is the reason we are moving) and have no concern for others. Children run rampant outside in the parking lot, clog the walkways with bikes and altogether hanging around (and will not move, mind you), scream, yell and stomp up and down stairs. Booming music and surround sound movies by neighbors make you feel like you're living next to Regal Cinemas and will go on throughout the night. Upstairs neighbors stomp like elephants, make booming sounds (like dropping heavy objects on the floor), run vacuums, slam doors (front, inside, porch and cabinet), run garbage disposals, and run uneven loads of laundry (to the point that the walls shake and vibrate) late into the night past 2:30 am. Master bedroom is at least 5 degrees colder in the winter and warmer in the summer. Bugs are persistent--spiders, ants, silverfish--and we had a mouse (the first EVER, so says management) our first winter. Also, someone must've put out a bulletin because the place is rampant with Indian singles and families who--in my experience here--have been nothing short of rude. Smoking in the shared walkway (leaving butts on the sidewalk and in shrubery), standing around and not moving aside to let neighbors through (especially when carrying groceries), letting their children run wild and not keeping them quiet and respectful of others. We've been here three years--two of which have been spent underneath ignorant families that live as if they're in a home of their own, with total disregard of impact on neighboring units. It's been too much to put up with for the money spent, so we had to look for an apartment elsewhere...
