Really Not Worth It

If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would not have made the choice to live here, I could have moved into a dump like Steeplechase...at least I would have known what I was getting for my money. (same size apartment for two hundred less a month).
My biggest complaint would be about my door...four months ago a lady who lived below me started a grease fire in her kitchen. Accidents will happen, but this one led to the fire department kicking in MY door (and my neighbors) since I was not home at the time. After the fire was put out, the apartment complex was very hasty in giving me a replacement door that was two inches too small (my neighbor didn't even get a replacement door). I was told then that it would not take long to get the new door, but that was four months ago. Each time I ask when I will be getting a new door, I'm told the same thing; "It's already been ordered, it's on it's way". I still don't have the door, which means my utility bill is higher and I get the pleasure of smelling what my neighbors are smoking or cooking for dinner (they like to prop their doors open if their own apartments getting to smelling too bad). Beyond that whole fiasco, maintenance has done a pretty decent job in needed repairs.
The appliances used throughout the building are as old and as cheap as possible. Judging by the thermostat, dishwasher, oven, and cabinets, I thought I was moving into a thirty or forty year old building...turns out it's only six or seven years old. I also think it would have been nice to have a washer/dryer hookup, considering what I pay each month (their are cheaper apartments which offer these)
As for anything else (like noise, parking, laundry facilities) it's nothing more, nothing less than what I'd expect from renting. I still think you can get more for your money elsewhere, or get the same thing for less money elsewhere.
Bottom line - be smarter with your money. Don't rent from Stonebridge.

I too had the nightmare of living in a Metro Communities Complex. They do not believe in any maintenance staff and hire 18 yr olds to run a complete complex! Metro communities should be ashamed of the way they treat their tenants, they really shafted me. Don't ever sign a lease for a Metro Community Property! You will be very very sorry!!!
