Nice cover to an ugly scab

When you first pull into the complex you're greeted by a very nice clubhouse, fountain and pool area. Once inside you are greeted by friendly staff who tour you around the grounds proud of their community. The fun begins once you sign your lease and move in.
I am the first and only tenant in my unit and I was living there when they were rushing to finish all the buildings. I noticed that the buildings were popping up around me in no time and were being build during the summer, fall and winter of 2004. You can tell they were in a rush due to the simple problems I've had with my unit. Bad thin walls, noisy plumbing, bad window install (drafty, leak), and shoddy carpeting. You can tell they cut corners all around the complex.
The staff seem to hold some type of strangle hold on their "luxury apartment" moto. They seem very friendly at first but it ends just at the point the ink hits the contract. They pull the contract out when you ask a simple question and quote it endlessly. Not very acccomodating for one of the most expensive complexes in the area.
All in all, it has been frustrating and I wouldn't want a prospective renter to be fooled by the outward appearance they exude.

That's funny that you say they have not been accomodating! They have all bent over backwards to make my fiance and me feel very welcome. Maybe you were asking them for something they just couldn't do or fix. Let's get real I have lived in other apartments in the area and none can come close to Austin Springs. There is always someone in the office unlike other places I have lived. Maintenance responds within 24 hours - what more could you ask? The grounds are always picked up. I have even seen the office woman out picking up. I know that all of my neighbors are content. Sorry about your luck! Did you ever think that maybe just maybe you were rude to them?
