Not worth it!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
We have lived here almost a year and I have never wanted to move so badly. The only good thing I can say is that the actually apartment is nice a laid out well. I live in an upstairs unit and everytime my neighbor shuts her door, I can hear it. If I sit in the dining room, I can hear almost everything that's said in her apartment. The people who live and work here are terrible. My neighbor calls the police on me constantly because of "pounding", it's literally us walking across the floor. The grounds are filthy, we live right by the pond and between the duck poop and the dog poop, the lawn is unusable. It was worse in the summer when the left the sprinkers on for a week straight. It is a terrible place to have small kids. There are always teenagers hanging all over the playground and parents let their kids run all over with no supervison well into the night. The cops are here constantly. Maitnence is a joke. I was actually told by the complex that my maintence problems were unimportant. The only time I ever had an issue dealt with before 4 days, was when my water heater went out, and then they told me that I needed to learn to light it myself! I may be the only person who lives here who isn't in an income discounted apartment and I do not think it's worth $800 a month. And it's certainly not worth the $870 I'd be paying if I chose to stay here. If you are a person who just needs your apartment to eat and sleep and doesn't require any assistance from the complex, this might be the place for you. But it's certianly not the place for me! One reviewer mention Kim was very helpful, and she was great while we were moving in. But after your name is on the lease, forget it.
