Are you kidding me''

I know some people got the wool pulled over thier eyes when they moved in. I, however, have lived here for many years. This was out of necessity, and not desire. This place has gone down hill drastically since Towne Properties took possession. You looking for work orders to be fulfilled'' Never going to happen, especially since they only have 1 maintenance man assigned for the entire complex. The leasing agent is more concerned about keeping her website going than she is with doing background checks on potential victims, I mean customers. The manager is more concerned with planning the next big beer bash for the 12 partying brown nosers than she is with removing known drug dealers. About the parties. I am not a drinker, never was, and never will be. When you live in a place where it takes months to have a $15 ceiling light replaced because it is shorting out, and on the other hand, the management wastes $300 a month on booze (claiming it's from the entertainment account) then there is something very wrong. I know that several buildings have the walkways and balconies falling down. Case in point, I saw a car jack holding up one of these walkways for nearly 3 months. Now is that a good selling point to potential renters'' Hey move in and you too can have a car jack holding up your walkway (unless you need it to change the flat on you car). A former tenant posted in a comment "we had plastic over our windows and the wind blew it off". I got bad news for that person.... I know of far too many occupants that had that exact same thing happen to them. Management could care less that it costs close to $120 a month to heat one of those apartments during the winter, because, hell, they aren't paying the vectren bill now are they. Also, the funny thing is, when you approach them to do something about correcting some of the problems creating those air leaks, which in turn will drive your gas costs through the roof, you will get remarks such as, "Well my gas bill is high too" or "My windows leak also" or (and I still can't believe I heard this come out of the mouth of an employee) "Hey, if you cant afford to pay the bill, then dont use the heat....nothing says you have to live here, now does it". That was blatantly uncalled for, guess she's just glad it wasn't me she said it to. I could go on and on about how pathetic this place really is, but would you truly listen to reason'' especially when you are in a bind, need a place, and the rent is/was cheap as hell'' (don't get me started on thier idea of fair market value rent....especially when this place was built before Nixon resigned, while the neighboring facilities can boast the Reagan era or later.)

finally someone who knows what they are talking about. the balconies are ridiculous, the haet bills and the summer bills are bad too. the staff in the office told me the same thing, oh mine is high too, well i dont care about yours, i can't stand this place, and i love how you threw in how much money they spend on booze and not on fixing the cheap apartments, or hiring more maintenance.
