Be careful!

Upstairs neighbors were noisy with stereo equiptment on a daily basis. Repeated requests to manager yielded a result of them moving to another building and someone equally noisy moving in! Complex is actually built in a valley but a road is over it too one side that is very loud with car and truck noise almost all the time!
Smoke smell in hallways at times was almost an overwhelming fog.
People from building would be outside at 2-3am after the bars closed with open containers and would be laughing and throwing beer cans at each other.
Parking was fine as long as you were home by 4pm, but anything after that you may possibly have to park in the next set of buildings. One parking spot was taken up with a trailer, several with cars that barely ran, but had to be moved from spot to spot to avoid being towed.
Several stray cats were abused by a boy in my building, parents seemed unconcerned, tried to catch them to take them to the pound, but couldn't catch them.
Almost no place to play for children, side yards are too darkly shaded and narrow to play in, cars zip in and out of parking lot at too high of a speed to not worry about a little one getting hit.
Heating bills were excessive due to poor insulation and the sliding door being poorly fitted. Furnace and cooling ran 16 hours per day to keep heat at 69, in the summer anything below 75 degrees it would run almost constantly.
The kitchen is very tiny and narrow with old appliances but did recieve a new fridge when manager was told ours was only cooling to 54 degrees. Bathroom had a tub with a hole it in where mold was growing, came to fix but then had to request that they finish the repair. Renovations may take care of this which they are currently undertaking.
When we moved out the last little conflict came with the return of our security deposit. Manager stated check was sent but was sent back to her. Spoke with Brian our postal carrier and he just laughed, he has known my husband most of his life and would always deliver something to the house with my husbands name on it.
So after almost a $50 dollar deduction for "shipping" and check stoppage fees (which I am still not sure why we were responsible for) we recieved our deposit refund almost 1 1/2 months after we moved out.
Overall, for myself and my husband the bottom line was that it wasn't worth the money or irritation to live at this apartment complex. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

When I showed you the apartment you asked about noise because you said noise was an issue at your previous address. I told you the gentleman that lived in the apartment said that the upstairs neighbor would play music a little loud but always turned it off by 9PM. You said that would be no problem. I wanted to show you an apartment in another building because it was almost entirely elderly residents and I though it might suit you better. You didn't want to live close to the entrance because you though there would be to much road noise.
There is a very nice grassy area located behind the 300 building for children to play.
Heat tends to rise so when you sleep on a mattress on the floor you are naturally going to be chilly.
You say the kitchen was tiny and narrow. The kitchen may be small but you saw it and still decided to rent. It's kind of strange to complain about something that you were aware of from the beginning.
Regarding your deposit, I have the returned envelope, addressed correctly,if you would like me to mail you a copy. You can show it to Brian, the postal carrier, and ask him for an explanation on why he failed to deliver it to you.
Sincerely,
Margie Baas

Wow, seeing this response from the property manager immediately made my decision to NOT rent from this place. I am SO glad I read the reviews here!--Unless this isn't the current property manager

Interesting, because when *I* saw the response from the property manager I was impressed that they cared enough about getting a poor review to take the time to respond to each of the complaints listed with an alternate explanation. Most managers in my experience wouldn't bother.
