The apartment manager is always friendly and helpful. Be careful though because one of the office staff likes to claim she is the manager and will give you different information than the actual manager; she also has a tendency to be condescending. The apartment itself looked great when we moved in, but over time we noticed many things that were broken; they were given superficial makeovers so it would appear that they were new and working. An example of this is the kitchen cabinets and lighting (hung incorrectly and half-way falling off.) Another thing to watch out for is the EXTREMELY poor soundproofing and insulation. Heating bills were around $300 a month in the winter and you can hear all your neighbors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (whether they are talking, snoring, or using the bathroom.) Maintenance would come out fairly quickly, but didn't actually fix anything (they would jury-rig things so they would hobble along and break again the next week.)
