Yo!

Not Such a Good Deal

When I first moved to the Cleveland area, this apartment seemed perfect for someone just out of college who needed to save money. The heat was included and there were large closets. However, after living there a while, the luster wore off.

When they estimate that your electric bill will only be $30 to $40 per month, they are wrong. I was the only person in my one bedroom and I ended up spending $80 to $100. The air conditioning unit is not the most energy efficient.

Maintenance men could come in and out of your apartment with out letting you know, it is in the lease, so read up. There was a roof leak in my apartment and they came in and looked at it and never even notified me. I had to call them and they said they would be by in a couple of weeks to repaint and clean the carpet. I was stuck drying my carpet myself.

There is an odor to the building and trash gets out of hand, however the trash problem is more the residents fault than managements. The trash pickup is pretty regular.

The ONE washer and ONE dryer per building (12 apartments) are often broken and take several days if not a week to get fixed (by and offsite company). In the meantime, you are not given access to another building to do laundry.

Many of the neighborhood children run around unsupervised, some throwing rocks at cars and others not realizing that they are technically playing in a parking lot - not a playground. They do not have respect for vehicles.

The pool is nice although on the small side for such a large developement - and there is a lifeguard.

I would complain about noises at night, several of the tenants have cars which they like to rev up around 11pm or midnight.

Overall, you get what you pay for. If you only spend $500 a month in rent, what do you really expect'
