I have lived at Dover Farms for two & a half years and plan on moving out once this years lease is up in July. Response time here is horrible. Maintenance doesn't know what they are doing. I have had four(4)water leaks in the bathroom ceiling, three(3)leaks in the kitchen ceiling that got so bad the ceiling was falling apart. It took them almost a year to finally fix the ceiling after eight request. The drain in the hot water tank room was glogged and flooded my floors three times because the response time is so slow. Then mold and mildew starting working it's way from the inside walls to the outside walls. After numerous request they still didn't fix. When I communicated legal action they finally came to fix it but they didn't finish the job and I found the mold and mildew had spread to an inside cabinet wall getting on my food containers. Took another three months for them to take care of this. I still don't believe it is completly gone. I have been suffering from respatory problems, ichy eyes, scrachy throut, etc. ever since. The entire apartment doesn't get regular type dust. Rather it is a white film that builds up (wierd). To top it off, the windows are horrible. They don't insulate from the cold (even with plastic & heavy drapes). The heating system (electric heat pump) is incapable of heating in cold weather. At times I could not get it warmer then 64 degrees in my apartment. Then there is no hot water because the heating system runs off the hot water tank. To add insult to injury my gas and electric bills combined in the winter months ranged from $300 - $500 a month depending on the temprature. After complaining dozens & dozens of times finally (this being my third winter here) they sent in a furnace professional who said the heating system was wired backward and the esensial heating portion of the system wasn't even working causing the gas and electric to work over time trying to heat this place(HELLO), I told them this two years ago. Now I have to try and collect reimbursment for those heating bills do to there incompedence. Even with the wiring fixed the system still is incompetant. Many other tenants have the same complaint. By now you can guess that I would not recomend this place to any one!
