New Ownership & Management Pathetic STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
I have lived at Dover (not Dober) Farms nearly 4 years now.
When Capriet owned the place life here was a pleasure. Anything that I needed, any reasonable request I had, any maintenance I required, all were attended to with professionalism in a quick and efficient manner.
Then this complex was sold to the slumlords that own it now, JVM. These people clearly could care less about resident satisfaction or retention. The entrance to my apartment building looks like a crap, with mud or something on the front door, sidewalks constantly littered with dead leaves and other trash, and an entrance hall that is in dire need of paint and new carpet.
When it rains heavily the entrance floods, and the sidewalk is covered in 3 or 4 inches of dirt, mulch, and other debris. You get to wade through this stuff in order to enter or leave. The drains around the entrance are constantly clogged as are the downspouts, but no one seems to care. I feel sorry for the ground level apartment dwellers who get flooded because of this nonsense.
The master bedroom in my unit gets virtually no airflow from the HVAC duct, so I have to use a space heater in the winter just to warm the room. In the warm months I have to use a fan blowing into my bedroom to try and move some cold air in, which makes closing the door for privacy out of the question. The other bedroom is too cold when the a/c is on, and mine is like an oven!
The current property "manager", ---- -------, is ineffective and either inept or uninterested in doing her job. These people should try and find her predecessor, --------, and BEG here to come back! Of course, it seems that ---- is simply a reflecton of JVM's attitude, which seems to be "who cares about the renters, just collect the rent".
Avoid this place (and Royal Oaks) like the plague as they are both owned by JVM. There are plent of other similar apartments in North Royalton where you might actually get your money's worth and be treated like you are a valued resident. I do not intend to renew here again.
I lived in a $650 a month place in Parma that treated me better and kept the building and grounds nicer than JVM does here. Oh, and my latest lease came with a nice rent increas which puts me in the $900 a month range for this "luxury" living.
Run, don't walk away from this place folks.
