I began my lease 12, 2007 in the winter. I have 2 bedroom on top floor. Numerous maintenance requests and still no resolve. I have a crack in the ceiling in one bedroom all the way across the ceiling, it was falling in and leaking water. After about the 5th complaint and basically letting them know that water was flooding on the carpet, they came out and patched it. Looks like a job that a 5yr old did. I asked if they were going to fix it better and the guy said he needed to come out and finish and paint. It is now split again and peeling. The faces of the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom just fall off they are put together and 70's style. The deadbolt lock broke and it had to be fixed twice. We were notified that we would be getting our filters changed. Mine never got changed and when I pulled it out to see the last date it was replaced was in 2004. I called and asked to have it changed. I thought it was done. I just checked for the heck of it and the filter is actually missing! The club house where they have a work out room is sad. The eliptical machine has been broke since I moved in and the other equipment is old and rickety. You would think for the price that they charge for these rentals, they would have some decent equipment. After a year they finally got the lock fixed to the clubhouse and hopefully will deter the groups of unruly kids wandering around and using the clubhouse like it is some party place. Like the other reviews say, if you are just a day late on the rent, they have an eviction letter at your door but when you request something to get done, it never happens. One of the leasing agents that worked there before told me to actually bring the broken drawer to the office and leave it to get attention to have it fixed! The parking is absolutely horrible. I would NEVER have renewed my lease but for the fact that my son has 3 years to finish school and I don't want to move until then because I am not buying in North Royalton. He just did not want to leave his school so I sucked it up and renewed the lease. I was supposed to get an "Upgrade" of a new kitchen faucet. It is now June and I still do not have the faucet. I thought about writing to the management company to complain. However, a few of my neighbors who have had problems also, said this did not get them anywhere. I do not know any of my neighbors that are actually happy here. I used to live next door at Royal Oaks and they are owned by same company. They were much better managed and the apartments were much more modern and better taken care of. It is really sad because this place has so much potential if they could make some serious changes. If there is any place else, I do believe that I will not renew this lease again. A good note, they take pets. However, there are several tennants who ruin things by not cleaning up after their pets and it doesn't help that the maintenance guy goes for months without refilling the stations with the clean up bags. I always take my own because there are rarely any available. I even went to the office one day and asked for the bags and offered to put them in myself and she said the maintenance guy had them and would need to do it. I would definitely not recommend any one to rent here until changes are made. On the up side, one of the leasing agents is a very, very nice lady and very kind. It is just too bad that the rest of the crew cannot be like her. Supposed to have a weight limit on dogs but I have seen ones that far surpass this rule.

If anyone is looking for a nice apartment in North Royalton, I lived at Spruce Run and absolutely loved it there. Gross Builders is the management company and they do a very good job. Their maintenance is first rate and the rent they charge is very reasonable.

I've had the same experience as you here and agree that the only person in the office who really does her job well is Nancy. Very nice, professional, and makes sure things get done but I think she's part time... too bad.
