Ok for a budget apartment

I have lived in quite a few cheap-o apartments in my day, and I think this might be the best one. Now don't get me wrong - it has its problems. Maybe too many problems for some people. But if you aren't expecting the "luxury apartments" other places claim to be, then this might be ok for you.
The good things: The property manager (who also handles all the maintenance requests) is pretty nice and seems to know what she's doing. The maintenance people seem to respond promptly and everything they have fixed in my apartment has been fixed the right way. The apartments all have DISHWASHERS!! They also have balconies except for on the ground floor, and ceiling fans in the dining area. Cats are allowed with a deposit. Overall it seems safe and there aren't strange people hanging around like there were in other apartment complexes in which I have lived -- I think this is because the buildings don't really have a lobby, so to speak, in which people can just sit around all day. There is enough free parking and there are also enough trash dumpsters. You also have the opportunity to rent a parking space in a carport or a garage if you want which is nice so that you don't have to shovel a bunch of snow off your car in the winter. Just if you do want a carport/garage space make sure to get it before the winter because there is a risk of running out of spaces. It is convenient to shopping and to public schools if you need them. Heat and water are paid so all you have to pay is electric and phone/cable/internet if you want them.
The bad: Although some of the apartments have nice views of the woods, this leads to problems with skunk smell (awful at times) and BUGS. I have seen some nasty bugs in my apartment which I blame on the fact that my apartment is like 10 feet from the woods. It is noisy too because some of the apartments back right up to the high school so you hear all the games and events. Luckily they don't last too long at night but I can see this being a problem if you have a baby. My building is noisy just with the noise from the people living in it. I always hear people's TV's and just people talking on the phone and stuff. But I think this might be just one inconsiderate person in the building. Laundry can be kind of bad because there is only one washer and one dryer for the building, so they are often in use when you need to use them. I live on the 3rd floor and it can be very hot at times. There isn't much natural air circulation and the wall-unit air conditioning doesn't do much and is really noisy.
Basically this is pretty good for a budget apartment. It has its problems but I plan on renewing my lease for another year.
