Snow sucks, but living here is great!

Although we've endured some pretty hard snow storms, this past one to be exact, living here is still great. Things get fixed on time and Karen does her best to have things updated. She would do a lot more, but the owners will only let her do so much. She honestly cares about the residents and if you feel otherwise, really take into consideration that she doesn't get to make the rules, she has to enforce them, which if you talk to her, she hates doing. If she could truly run things differently she could, but the owners will only give her so much freedom because they are cheap and don't have to deal with residents themselves.
As for the snow issue, there was a resident who volunteered his personal construction equipment and cleaned up the parking lots for us all. It's not often you see people doing things for others out of the goodness of their own hearts! If you know this man or see him, THANK HIM!! I spoke with Karen personally and the reason she couldn't even get back from NY is because of the storm. She does live there, too, regardless if she only walks a building over. If we can't get out, neither can she. It's Cleveland and we have to expect snow. I know she is working on getting a different plow company for next year because this year, they haven't been doing what they are supposed to. And that is NOT Karen's fault.
When I was looking to rent an apartment, my bf and I checked out surrounding apartment complexes. They all looked dingy, unkempt, and weren't nearly as nice as Shadow Creek's. The one time I needed something fixed, the part time guy completely took my sink out of my apartment to work on it so he wouldn't bother us. He returned with a brand new updated faucet and even cleaned our sink for us!! The lawn is always mowed and the pool was recently revamped making it very enjoyable to go to.
My only big issues have been with our neighbors and Karen was quick to address the issue. It has since stopped and living here is nice. If I wasn't looking to buy a house, I'd continue living here.

I would have to agree. Karen does the best she can with what she is ALLOWED to do per her boss. I have not had any major problems here. Things are usually fixed promptly. Issues I have had with previous neighbors were quickly addressed as well. Karen is a kind person and tries her best. Unfortunately its the owners who do not care about residents as long as the money keeps rolling in.

Problems with snow storms? Here are a few options:
1) Move out of Cleveland and move to Florida
2) Deal with it. Get over it. You live in a state that gets snow
3) Call this number: 1-800-MOTHER-NATURE. I am sure she would love to here from you.
4) Buy a house and then gripe (to yourselves)as YOU move 20 inches of snow.
5)If snow removal is not in your lease then it is a courtesy to the residents, not a requirement for removal from the driveways not YOUR PERSONAL VEHICLES.
6)You should purchase a shovel, after all you live in CLEVELAND!
Maybe, a little more friendliness and trying to change something noone but Mother Nature can by helping out your neighbors and the complex YOU LIVE IN may just make you better people in the long run.

Uh, yeah first poster? I'm a resident. It's people like you that bring this complex down. MOVE OUT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!! Many apartment complexes have the same issues with the snow. Yes, it could have been taken care of sooner and in a better way, but we came together as a community to help one another because nothing else could have been done. I personally helped shovel many people out of parking spots, as well as helped clearing paths to the buildings. Were YOU out there shoveling or just peering out your window and complaining? Contact me personally if you have such a great issue with my posting.

First off the last post on here are obviously not residents. If you are you are obviously blind to the problems at these apartments.
Secondly!!!, SNOW REMOVAL is in our lease. At least it says that in mine.
Also, I dont think that management has to shovel my car out but they should at least plow the actual street and walkways. It took them over 36 hours to even start clearing anything around here.
I am moving out and would like to say you all should do so as well. THis place needs a kick in the butt to start treating their tenants with some respect. We all pay anywhere from $600-$900 a month to live here. We are the customers her and "The customer is always right"!!!!

No, the customer is not always right! the customer is always "the customer" without him/her there is no business. we have entered a period of nonaccountability.
