I am a two year resident who will not be renewing my lease this year. Let me give you a full run down of the way things work here at Shadow Creek and no, I am not exaggerating.
1. Our patio screen does not close all the way because it is too big. We wanted a new one and were told that "we're lucky that we have the one that we do because others are worse" and never recieved a new one.
2. In the summer, the central air does not run efficently and because there is only one register vent for the entire living/dining/and kitchen area our apartment would not get below 86 in the summer. Again, called maintenance and were told that we're lucky because it could be worse in other apartments.
3. The apartment complex does NOT plow or salt walkways, entrances, parking spots or the road. This is the second bad winter storm that we've had since we've been here and both times nothing was plowed. 3 days after the snow storm, none of the parking spots have been plowed, none of the walkways have been plowed and none of the garage areas have been plowed.
4. Our unit has a really bad wasp problem and as soon as the weather warms up we find them in our dining room, despite the fact that the patio window hasn't been opened in close to 5 months.
5. Our master bedroom window is rotting out of the wall. Yet, we can't seem to get another one of those either.
6. They started to paint the hallway when we moved in and still haven't finished it.
7. They don't check the batteries in the smoke detectors or change furnace filters on a regular basis.
Why do we still live here' Because we couldn't afford anything else. Now we can. I would advise that you DO NOT lease here. Krantz Management Company is terrible and this place is run like a slum.
