When I was speaking with the lady about moving in, I made sure she knew I was a medical student and that I simply wanted a quiet place to study and she *acted* as if she cared and understood. A few days after I moved in (and signed the lease), my upstairs neighbors came home (apparently they had been away on vacation or something when I was moving in). From the moment they moved in, it was hell. The apartment above me was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath.....there were 7 people living in that apartment! I won't even go into the fire code violations... Those 7 people were composed of 2 parents and 5 kids of which the OLDEST child was MAYBE 10 years old. I understand that management could not control what the children were doing, but, A) they should have not let 7 people live in a 2 bedroom apartment, and B)Should have never knowingly assigned a medical student to the apartment below them; especially after the student specifically told them they were looking for a quiet place to live and study. When I filed a complaint, management was not the least bit sympathetic and almost seemed to instigate a feud between me and my neighbors.

And to make things worse, parking was terrible and you were lucky if you got home in the evening before everyone else because that meant you might actually get to park within 100 yards of your own apartment.

They were very slow to salt the sidewalks in the winter.

And when a water pipe broke and flooded my building (and my apartment), they were slow to fix it and did not check to see if anything in my apartment was damaged. They simply informed me that I should put a fan on the floor and let it run all day.

Bottom line: Stay away from Spruce Run
