I've only lived here a few months. The management staff is wonderful. They make you feel at home, and when ever I've needed repairs, they are taken care of immediately. I have a two bedroom and it was very neat and clean when I moved in. All the rooms are extremely large with TONS of closet and storage space. I have my apartment fixed up nicely and love it, it is spacious and something you can work with to make homey. Housekeeping does a good job at keeping the halls clean and maintenance keeps fresh paint in the halls so it looks nice. I have a garage so parking is not a problem for me, but parking does not seem to be a problem for others. The grounds are kept very neat and so far safety doesn't seem to be a problem, everything is well lite. The rent is very reasonable for what you get.
The down side: you can hear everything your neighbors do. The people above me sound like they are coming through the floor and they keep me awake at night. They actually make my china cabinet and treasures inside rattle. I ve had things fall off the walls from what every they are doing to rattle the walls. I m not a complainer, so have not gone to management yet, but am coming to my limits. Other tenants have their music so loud, I have to turn my T.V. up loudly, just to hear over their music, then I worry I'm disturning my neighbors. Hot water is another problem. I can t tell you the times I have no hot water to take a shower in the evening or early morning. Also, I agree with the person who wrote many people who live here are, less than desirable . I m a professional woman and don t mean to pass judgment, but many are young adults who do not take into consideration other tenants live here. I can t tell you the nights I am kept awake by my neighbors or people outside being very loud with no regards to others. If it were not for some of the tenants and the water situation, this would be a good place to live. I had to put yes or no as to as to if I would recommend Walnut Hill Apartments. I put no, but the truth is, I don't know...it has its good and bad. I think it depends on your age and what you're looking for. This is definitely for a younger crowd, and there is a lot of partying going one.
