I have lived here for the past three years (too lazy to move!). That should sum it up really--if moving weren't such a hassle I probably would have moved. If you do move here, get a 3rd floor apartment. The 1st and 2nd floors are INCREDIBLY loud with the people above you. You can literally follow step by step the movements of those above you. Often very loud at 2 or 3 in the morning, even during the week. And while its warm out, the glass in the lobbies gets broken out a lot. The rent is cheap though, and if you can get a 3rd floor place that has been newly renovated, its not too bad.
