I love living here. The apartments are brand new and absolutely gorgeous. Even though they are on the pricey side, there are so many advantages, especially for the East side. I live on the second floor & can hardly ever hear my neighbors, which is surprising for an apartment building. Actually, all of my neighbors are awesome - it's been a long time since I've known so many people who live next to me. It's comforting atmosphere - we all watch out for each other.
Yes, you have to pay for all utilities, but as long as you don't have the heat set to 80 in the winter or the air turned down to 60 in the summer, the rates aren't that bad. Painesville electric is quite reasonably priced. The apartments are huge, although they are somewhat lacking in storage space for the second floor. The appliances are nice, especially the full size washer & dryer. The garages are okay, but it's all one shared space with multiple garage doors. It can be tough parking there when an adjoining car overlaps your space. Maintenance is great, even on the weekends - they're very fast. The new pool & fitness area are okay, usually not too busy most of the time. The flat screen TVs are still not operable as of a week ago & there's no radio or music available (you have to bring your own). I haven't tried the tanning facility, but it's great to have it available. The office staff are all very cool for the most part & have been quite helpful anytime I have a concern. Be ready for construction though, as they have yet to start work on the other half of the complex. The roads can be somewhat bumpy sometimes & occasionally you have to watch out for construction materials. I still haven't figured out where to drop outgoing mail.
The location is one of the best things about this place - there are several restaurants within walking distance, a Home Depot, Gander Mountain, Sams Club, a hotel & grocery store are very close as well. You can get some of the lowest prices for gas on the East side at the BP on the corner. And, it's right next to Route 2, which makes it simple to get down town or further east. The fabulous wineries in the Grand River area are just a short drive away.
I haven't decided if I will be staying in the area for another year, but if I do, I will definitely be returning to Cobblestone Court. I really can't imagine living anywhere else.
