Imagine yourself being happy, don't move here

Imagine being told that you will have a 24 hour fitness center and then one day find it closed, with no notice on the door. Eventually in one of the two elevators in the building you find a notice that says a new one will open in 5 days. 5 days go by, no new notices, no new fitness center.

Imagine seeing drug deals and fights in the parking lot every night.

Imagine a landlord that talks down to you and dismisses every complaint with a "you don't know how hard I work."

Imagine a landlord that comes in to your apartment on a monthly basis without any notice.

Imagine your water being shut off almost weekly. Yes, sometimes it is only for a few hours, but don't ever assume you will have water.

Imagine your parking lot does not get plowed and cars are constantly stuck in it all winter.

Imagine getting a notice that says there will be no hot water for three days in the middle of the winter. Then imagine that the landlord wrote "if you want hot water you can boil or microwave it."

Imagine that you see upgraded pictures of the apartments on the internet, but your apartment looks nothing like that.

Imagine that your rent goes up $100 dollars in one year.

Imagine that the pool is only open from the middle of July until September.

Imagine hearing your neighbors fighting and hoping no one will be dead in the morning.

Imagine waking up in the middle of the nights to sirens and flashing lights almost once a week.

Imagine that there are only two elevators and one is almost always out of order.

Imagine that during one of the "annual" inspections the screen in your window gets torn and the landlord blames it on you. Then imagine you find out the landlord is blaming it on you because the maintenance main is her husband. Annual is in quotation marks becuase they happen almost monthly.

Imagine an incredibly dirty laundry room, where clothes are constantly being stolen.

Imagine coming home and finding your door has been left wide open after painting was done and when you notify management you are called a liar.

Imagine you are told that the property office will take large packages for you, and then you get a letter from the post office that your package will be sent back if you do not come and get it.

The only good thing about this place is that there is parking.

This has been my misery for the past year, don't let it be yours.

On sight there is a courtesy officer at all times. When I called the officer at 1:00 a.m. he responded within a few minutes and took care of the noise. It was just a door being slammed at night. If there are fights in the parking lots feel free to call the police then you don't have to worry about dead neighbors. I have not had a problem sleeping at night. I look out in my parking lot every night and don't see anyone out there. I see people walking the premises and the courtesy officer driving around the area, I am not sure if you live at the same complex as I do. When the fitness center was to close there was plenty of notice given ahead of time to all residents listed on the bulletin board and in the monthly newsletter as well. I hope you find peace in your apartment some way. Not sure which building you live in but I believe each may be just a little different in just a little way. Good luck!

Yes, I've seen the courtesy officer. There are a lot of noises that are not just doors being slammed and I have used the courtesy officer myself. Many times when I call, he says that he does not have the power to deal with it and I have to call the police. The police are here a lot. Almost daily, perhaps daily. It is scary.

I recall a time when a car alarm was going off for literally 6 hours. Didn't see much of the courtesy officer then. Having been there when the gym up and moved there was no warning given in the gym or around it. I'm sure that "parma55" who probably works there didn't see anyone when they looked outside. I would bet because they don't live there. It was a leap of faith everytime I left my car there as to if it would be vandalized or not. That certainly had nothing to do with the multiple people wandering the parking lot like it was a Greatful Dead concert, which it usually was with loud music and yelling, only it was mostly vulger rap.
