totaly agree with this person, i stayed there for 5 years, and after i moved out they sent me a final account bill for $5,900.00 dollar bill.
NOTE: they gave me discount for bad carpet, but interestingly in the final account bill they added like almost $1000 to replace the carpet, i stayed there for 5 years, and they never bother to replace it even i keep extending my contract.
One more thing when i was renewing my contract for the last year that is 5th they said will replace the carpet (see this is just conversation not in written) and i thought they will do it so i signed the contract but right after i signed the contract i got the letter stating that they will not replace it due to management change and the person who is agreed to replce the carpet is no longer in the management, SO TELL me is that my problem' whey do i have to pay like $1000 for carpet...
JEEZ its a nightmare after moving out from MIDTOWN, they will hang your life in between sky and earth......
DO NOT STAY HERE

Lorrie, If the carpet life is 5 - 7 years, then why did you charged me? and why your staff member told me that she will replace the carpet if i signed the contract for another year? after signing the contract why you guys turned dows her statement because its not in written? BTW you also charged for new fridge, if you want i can post the statement that you sent it to me. but this website doesn't allow, trust me guys this worthless place to live. JUST MOVE OUT and LASTLY I ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT MOUSE RUNNING AROUND IN MY KITCHEN ... THEY DID NOT TAKE ANY ACTION.... I HAVE ALL THE LETTERS that prove this.

Hi am am the Property manager and the statments above are incorrect. We do not charge if it is normal wear and tear. Life expectancy of a carpet is 5-7 years. We review all concerns at renewal time. if the carpet is in need of replacement and is old. we will replace, if it is stained with bleach and kool-aid due to the resident and we need to replace and they lived there and the carpet is newer, they will be charged, Again, we are not in the business to make money off of people. We are in the business to protect our asset and if residents destroy our property then we must hold them accountable. Our staff here does not hang up on anyone unless they are being cursed at and being called names. Then they will say, conversation over and hang up the phone politely. They do nothave to tolerate such abuse. Again, if they would call and ask to speak with me I would handle the concern, instead we get these reviews. I do not understand such reviews. Sincerely Lorrie Mustard 216-398-4222 X100.

You are all so right! Everytime I call the office about a problem Lorrie tries to blame it on me. I think that is a pretty rude thing to do. I can only imagine what they are going to try to charge me with when I leave. I can not wait to be away from a place that causes me so much stress and so much money! Hopefully before people move in they will check this website and listen to all the real people on here and not the fake stuff that management and employees post.

YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO GOT CHARGED, YOU GET A SHOCKING BILL FROM THEM FOR REPLACEMENT OF CARPET, REFRIDGERATOR, WALL PAINTING AND ALL WHAT YOU NEVER THINK OF WHEN YOU LEAVE.WHEN YOU ASK WHY DID THEY CHARGE UNREASONBLY, THEY HANG UP RUDELY. PROBABLY THEY CHARGE AS THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH RESIDENTS TO PAY MANAGEMENT SALARIES AND MAINTAIN THEIR GROSS APARTMENTS.PLEASE ,MANAGEMENT DO NOT CHARGE RESIDENTS UNREASONBLY WHEN THEY LEAVE, IF YOU WANT MONEY FOR SALARIES WE CAN GET CHARITY FUNDS FOR YOU.

Thatâ??s absolutely true at Midtown. Did you see management ID â??honesty2007â??, thatâ??s ridiculous. Do they know meaning of honesty? Rude staff especially Pam, Monica.,Lorrie they need to be educated how to talk to people. The kind of service they provide is awful. Rusted sinks, gross smell at all buildings, bugs, mosquitoes , you want to be HEALTY, my sincere advise, do not move in here.Few days before you should have seen the child playarea, slides broken. They replaced after 2 yrs .This place is disgusting

I have been visiting my Girlfriend at midtown for a few years now. All I can say is this place dirty, nasty and borderline "ghetto". Whats with the new paint job? its kind of prison like. If you really want to spruce up the halls try replacing the nasty carpet I mean its stained everywhere.the crew doing the paint work is very sloppy, just walk around the halls and look at the details, the work speaks for it self. when Im at midtown I try not to touch things like door knobs or elevator buttons...maybe if they were cleaned off once in awhile it would make a diffrence. I personally dont have any beef with management as I dont even live there. Im simply stating what I see when Im there and its gross.

I see Lorrie changed her post after I brought up being called a liar. Guess I should have copied her original. So, I'll change my post.
I agree with this poster. You get charged for the shoddy material used in your apartment. I also agree with others here who say to get everything in writing. I didn't and I am regretting it.
But what is she talking about bleach and kool-aid? Is that a common problem? My carpet had brown stains all over it when I moved in. I was told they would be fixed. And then I was told they couldn't fix the problem. When I moved out I was charged for those same stains.

I has a similar thing happen to me. When I moved in I was told that my carpet would be changed and my kitchen would be renovated (it had very old appliances). I lived there for 2 years and nothing was ever fixed. They tried to charge me for brown stains on the carpet. Those brown stains were there when I moved it! Also, when I moved in, I had noted the brown stains on the paperwork they have you fill out when you first move in, but Lorrie conveniently LOST that paperwork...huh..
