This is just a potion of a letter that I sent to their parent company Forest City Management today.

Dear Sir or Madam:
I moved into your property Midtown Towers in February of this year. Since I moved in a have experienced service and living conditions that HORRIBLE is not too strong a word to describe. I can t believe that I am paying rent on time every month for the type of condition this apartment home is actually in and the living environment associated with it. In reading this you may think this an exaggeration or an outright fabrication. I assure you, however, it is not. Aside from the constant loud behavior in the parking lot every weekend, the awful hallway smells, lobby loitering and ridiculous food sales in the lobby; please consider the things I have documented dealing with my own experiences here listed in no particular order:
1. Leak in closet saturating closet carpet and all items on closet floor such as shoes.
2. Call to police on neighbors next door in #---- for loud profanity and possible domestic violence. There should be a record on this with police.
3. Constant loud profanity coming from #---- with open windows.
4. At 4:15am every morning I can hear very loudly the shower in #----.
5. A leak in the bathroom that left a hole in my bathroom wall next to the sink (still not repaired).
6. Running water would not turn off in bathroom sink (took 5 days before anyone showed up).
7. No water pressure in kitchen sink.
8. Frequent elevator breakdowns.
9. I cannot have furniture delivered with out incurring extra cost due to the lack of a freight elevator.
10. I was stuck in this apartment for an entire weekend because the parking lot was not plowed from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. I am sure you ve already received other complaints about this.
11. Trash in the elevator (daily). This is consistent in spite of a newly remodeled elevator.
I believe that this list goes far beyond what anyone would consider reasonable inconvenience in less than a four-month period.

Many of these same things were said back in May 2007. It is unfortunate that people don't read this site before renting. Unfortunately, my experience was that all letters sent to the management company were simply forwarded on to Midtown Towers. In fact, Midtown Towers' manager told me, not to bother writing to the management company, because they just send the letter to her without reading it. I hope you have a better experience.

I used to live there, and I got out as soon as I could. Living there was exactly like you have described it. The conditions are terrible...dirty and smelly all of the time. The manager has no education and has no ability to speak with any kind of maturity. The place is a joke. Every month you have to let the management into your apartment to spray for bugs. And good luck ever getting the elevator!
Move out while you can!
