Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
I move back and forth between Ohio and Michigan while I'm finishing college (co-op work/study program). So I move every 3 months and am always bouncing between apartments. Parma was a great place when I started. I lived in the gardens. I found everything to be ok. No real issues and the staff was friendly. I would've preferred to have laundry in unit though.
Well my work forced me to move to Strongsville for a year and a half (corporate housing - free for me!) and that was nice (Polo Club Apts - nice but expensive). Recently I had to move out because the corporate housing would not let me and my roomate keep our dogs there. We had to move in a huff so back to Parmatown we went. The staff was extrememly nice and gave us a GREAT deal on a hospitality suite for the month and half we needed it. But it was in the towers, 4th floor. Overall the apartment unit is great. A couple maintenance issues that never got fixed unfortunately but there was a mix up with the permission to enter I guess so I just fixed them myself! They obviously lost our 2nd request for the work orders. Then we had an issue with the tenant across the hall. He was leaving his door open and letting his cat roam the halls. Not a good thing when I was taking my 2 dogs out. Management offered to move us to another unit! How insane! We move enough as it is but to suggest we move because they can't enforce simple rules was assanine. Also, the dog park is great for us but other residents DO NOT clean up after there dogs so I spend a good 15 minutes every other day picking up other dog's waste so my dogs don't run through it. And they have been out of waste bags for a month. "They're on order" they say. The halls reek but they get cleaned daily (as they are always getting cleaned when I come home from work at 7 am). Noise in my unit isn't bad, but my neighbors are quiet. The office staff seems generally air-headed and are no help at all. I recommend that if you do live here, live in the gardens! Avoid the towers at all costs. I may even return back here because it is relatively cheap for the area.
