Well, it was great in the beginning. We thought that we were getting a real bargain. Well, almost 10 months later and they have not fixed any of the things that we listed, as we were told to by management, when we moved in. We had a heating bill for one month this winter was over $300 because they could not for some reason fix the seals around the windows and sliding glass door in bedroom. Many times we sent little reminder notes asking them to fix various things, which were never done, and if they fixed something, it was a quick fix and did not stay fixed for long. I sealed the windows myself, fixed the sink that did not work, and other various tasks that should have been taken care of prior to our moving in. Yes, the rent was cheap, but so is the management. We had to meet with the management about the things needing done. They wanted to compensate us for the problems by giving us refunds on our rent. We told them to forget the refund and let us out of our lease early. Some of the other residents have also mentioned the same things happened to them. If you are looking for cheap rent, go here. If you are ok with shivering every day during the winter and paying large gas bills, then by all means, this place is for you. They do allow pets, which was nice, and pool was always clean. Just remember, if you cannot fix things yourself, the chances of the management taking care of it for you are slim to none. We also later found out that the whole complex was Section 8 housing 3 months prior to our moving in = things were being changed and the people that were there before still lived there, with all their kids yelling and screaming.

are you talking about perry lake village? because if you are, i am 100% positive they are not section 8 housing.

I lived there and I am 100% positive that more than 3/4ths of the people are worse than section 8. It is a dump with ------ management, crappy,, sleazy ways and gross tenants and management. Sleaze, slum lords
