There is a reason that most former tenants do not recommend this piece of crap community known as Perry Lake Village. When I first moved there it was a very nice community with a very nice, attentive staff to service all of your needs. I lived there for 3 years and I swear the management had to change hands at least 4 times. Each time they became more and more shabby. During the winter I could literally feel the air coming through my bedroom window, which by the way was covered in green and black mold. Maintenance never fixed the issue. The furnace failed once in the dead of a cold spell and when we called the emergency maintenance they told us to either wait until morning or call a private company out to fix it and provide Perry Lake with the bill....EXCUSE ME' Twice in 3 years water backed up in my kitchen sink and totally flooded the kitchen and living room...the reason...the upstairs neighbors dishwasher was running and there was a bad plumbing connection. The neighbors also went from nice and respectable to section 8 kings and queens and that is still the case. Whenever we got a heavy rain the parking lot flooded sooo bad that you could not drive through it or park near your apartment and after several failed attempts it was never fixed. Oh and during the floods you could see your section 8 trash neighbors and their children playing in the middle of the rain/sewage back up. When it was time to move out the office gave me more hell than you would believe....they do not care about a damn thing and their attitudes reflect that. If you do choose to move there MAKE SURE you are aware of the self renewing lease and the 30 day notice required to move out of the hell hole. They will really try and screw you on that one. I sent my notice certified mail AND delivered a copy personally so there was no confusion. I would strongly urge you to look at other options in Pburg. Remember you get what you pay for and there is a reason the rent is so cheap compared to the other communities in the ares.
