Where to start.....first of all, the apartments are large and roomy for the money. They also have a layout that allows efficient use of the space. Now on to the management. In one word they "suck". Their maintenance staff is inept at best. I dealt with a clogged parking lot drain for 9 months. The front office claimed to not know anything about it, which is odd since all their maintenance guys seem to do is ride around in golf carts all day. They came back to look at it after a neighbor basically called them out on it. No exaggeration, after the rain we had the water was two and a half feet deep. You could not exit a vehicle without putting your feet underwater. The apartment complex in front of this one (Pheasant Run Apts.) are ALL section 8. The juvenile delinquents from those apartments tore down the fence separating the two complexes and then it started getting really bad. That was 6 months ago and it still isn't fixed, even after being assured numerous times that it is to be fixed "anytime now". My kids can't go outside now, they are afraid of being assaulted again by all the trash that comes through the opening in the fence. This includes being hit, shoved to the ground etc... Everyone I know in my breezeway has either left or is going to leave when their leases are up, that includes me when mine expires this upcoming spring. This place also has a huge problem on weekends with everyone dumping their trash outside the dumpster. By Sunday night you can't even climb the stairs to throw your trash in the dumpster. Our breezeway was filthy with dirt all over the walls for over a year. I had a notice on my door in March of 2007 to make sure I removed all items in the breezeway so they could be pressure washed. They finally accomplished that in August of 2008 after I and another neighbor complained several times. The complex manager wanted to argue with us that they were already cleaned, (the fabulous maintenance guys again). She finally drove back there to see for herself that they we not in fact cleaned, it was simply a matter of the maintenance people telling her they were cleaned, she took their word and figured "why bother'" I don't want to sound like a jerk but they certainly expect their rent on time each month, which I oblige. The least they can do is keep up their end of the contract.
