If you are looking for a new place to live STAY AWAY FROM BRENTWOOD LAKE APTS. They will show you the model apartment that they have that is so nice and clean. It has a microwave, brand new washer/dryer, clean walls, new carpet...it is really nice. Then they rent you a piece of ---- apartment, and when I say ---- I mean that literally. When they showed me the apartment I was to move in to, it clearly had not been cleaned. There was no microwave and the dryer they put into my apartment was nasty with sticky ---- on it. I told them to come get it out and put my own dryer in. When I said it hadn't been cleaned, the apartment manager who showed it to me stood there in my face and said it had been cleaned. I had to get into her face and tell her "NO, IT HAS NOT." They sent someone to clean it and it was still dirty. The carpet has cat piss on it and the apartment wreaked of cat piss. They wanted to insist there were no animals that had lived there despite the fact the urine smell was so wicked. They finally succombed and replaced the carpet that had the piss on it. After I moved my things in, being that I had already given them my money, I had to clean the bathrooms because the corners and up against the wall at the floor there was ----. I had to use straight bleach for fear I would catch something. The toilet was constantly getting backed up. I went to them about it and they must have sent maintenance here six times. For some reason, they just couldn't seem to fix the problem. One day when it got backed up again, I just kept plunging it over and over and over until finally I saw a child's purple sponge letter A come down. I put gloves on and got it out and haven't any problems since. Why couldn't maintenance figure this out since this is their job. Management are a bunch of female ------- that don't give a damn about anyone here. If you are 10.00 late on your rent and beg them to please let you pay it the next day and not charge you the late fee, they say no, they are going to charge you the late fee and if you don't have the late fee, they are going to charge you an additional 5.00 per day that you are late. If you get to the point that you have to wait until the next payday to pay all these fees, they tell you that you will have to pay an additional 200.00 in lawyer fees for when they file a motion in court to evict you. And Lord please don't have a returned check. They will charge you a 50.00 returned check fee. Your lease will be 13 mths instead of the traditional 12 months. There is a 60 day notice you MUST give them at the end of your lease, if you don't, you will have to pay the extra month rent plus an additional 100.00 for the month to month rent fee. The amount of rent you pay for what you have to put up with here is ridiculous. The children here are off the hook. The girls are fast as hell, and the boys try to be some little thugs. My children have never had to encounter the things they have encountered here. If you have children, stay away from here. There is an apartment complex next door that has section 8 families whose children come over here and have all kinds of crap going on. About the ponds, they are so nasty that I wouldn't be surprised if there are diseases rolling around in there. The complex does absolutely nothing to clean it. There are geese and ducks around who walk through the breeze ways shitting all over the place. You literally have to look down when you walk so you won't step in it. How this place got a rating in the 60's I really don't know. Oh yea, about the trash can, they have one trash compactor for the entire complex. You have to put your trash in your car and drive it around to the trash compactor. Then when you get there, you find out that someone has set the dam thing on fire because they were so pissed off about all the trash that was piled up there. We are talking piled as high as 8 ft and 3 ft out. No exaggeration. This has got to be THEE most trifling apartment complex I have ever lived in. I honestly believe that the very first review was from someone who works here. There is not a tenant here who I have spoken to that likes it here. Here is one for you, ask them to present you with an average of how long tenants stay here after they have moved in. They won't tell you or give you any documentation on that because they know no one wants to live here for long.

LOL you are so funny but not telling any lies about this place. I'm so glad I moved out. The staff sucks! The manager Rachel is just a -----. The occupancy is so low she's to embarrassed to tell anyone. I would go to a homeless shelter before moving back there!!!

How can you even say thats funny? You both are a piece of work. Just because someone follows the LAW when it comes to rentals doesn't make them a ******. Then to post this BS and to keep it anonymous clearly says you are lying. I highly doubt you "got in someones face". You sound pretty "fabulous" yourself to talk like this. I've lived here for going on 4 years now and I actually know several of the people that live here and there is even one I know that has been here since it opened. Obviously you are just bitter because YOU can't follow the rules or pay YOUR rent on time. NOBODYS fault but your own. Any management company is going to make YOU pay for YOUR delinquency. Maybe you should check around before throwing stones. The only thing I can agree with is the compactor. I asked them about that before and they stated that it is NEVER full and they had a report from the trash company that verified it. My guess is that people are too irresponsible to throw their own trash away. I also just renewed my lease at the beginning of the month and when I talked to the girls about one of my friends renting an apartment across from me they said it was already rented and only had about five adresses available for them to choose from. I'm no expert, but that doesn't sound bad to me. As for the staff, I couldn't DISAGREE with you more. They are the kindest and most caring group of individuals I know. We may not always see eye to eye on some issues but I understand that. If I have to pay a couple days late, I know that I have to pay my late fee. It is my fault after all.
