Bad Place to Live

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
My wife and I have lived in Muirwood Village for a little over a year. The biggest problems are the dumpy apartments and the disrespectful office staff. The apartments may look nice at first but everything falls apart quickly once you move in. When we moved in the walls needed touched up, the counter needed fixed and there were various other problems which they promised to fix right away. It took nearly a year for them to fix anything. The property manager is rude, unprofessional and lazy. You can tell she doesn't care what goes on here and doesn't care about the residents. She arrives late several days of the week and leaves early, closing the office before hours. She has waited weeks at a time to cash rent checks and then attempts to charge us a late fee. It seems every time I walk in there she is either eating White Castle or Pizza or doing absolutely nothing. The maintenance people are just as ridiculous. One of them is very nice and the others are rude and disrespectful. They are lazy, don't want to do their jobs and it usually takes three or four times before they are able to properly fix something. Parking is an absolute nightmare. People with garages still take up three or four spots and there's never any parking for residents. There are signs up saying they will tow any unknown cars but they never lift a finger. It's clear nobody cares what goes on here. This place would be okay if the people in the office were professional and the maintenance staff actually fixed things the right way and on time.
