Far from Great

I lived in Muirwood Village for a year and moved out a month ago. The apartments are decent and the perfect size for a bachelor, but outside of that there is nothing great about Muirwood Village. Parking wasn't horrible but was an issue on several occasions. There are a very limited amount of spaces and there are residents with two or three cars that take up all the spaces. In the past year I witnessed several residents who have a garage but use it for storage and take up all the spaces with their vehicles. Despite many complains from myself and other residents the management staff does absolutely nothing. The worst part of Muirwood Village are the management and maintenance staff. The women who work in the office are completely unprofessional and don't care what happens to the residents. The property manager does absolutely no work and frequently shows up late or leaves early. Most of the time when I stepped into the office she wasn't there or was too busy stuffing her face with pizza. The assistant property manager lies through her teeth to make people happy but really only cares about her smoke break. The maintenance staff are completely unbearable. It takes them months to fix things, and most of the time they need to come back and fix the problem again because they screwed up the first time. Not to mention they are completely rude and unprofessional. The biggest problem about the staff is that none of them care if anything gets done and it takes forever for problems to be addressed, if they are taken care of at all. The area surrounding these apartments is also very unsafe. It isn't horrible, but it's still pretty bad. I've heard gunshots in the middle of the night at least a dozen times in the year that I lived there. There were a few apartments and cars broken into on occasion and a lot of shady people hanging around. I never felt completely safe living there. Overall Muirwood Village isn't the worst place in central ohio but it's not great or even satisfactory.
