I'm the Oct 17, 2008 post. Things have not improved. If anything, they've gotten worse. Once they lock you in a lease they don't do stit no more cause what are you gonna do, pay two grand to break your lease' hah! People move in here cause they're broke, and management has figured that out. I have had bug problems, they never have finished my tub... oh the stories I could tell. They don't do anything even resembling customer service. Case in point: I had to put my roommate out cause she wouldn't get a job. But her name is alphabetically before mine, so when she moved the water bill started getting forwarded to her new address. When I told management I hadn't been getting my bill, she said oh, she new, that my former roommate had called her and told her she was getting the bill, but that since *they* have copies of the water bill by the 25th, not getting the bill is not an excuse. Um, helloo... if no one tells me that how in the heck am I supposed to know' Oh, and I was supposed to pay a $50 late fee on a $25 water bill! So this woman knew I hadn't gotten my bill, knew I wasn't GOING to get my bill, and couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone or walk her fat ass the half block from the office to my apartment. Literally said "It's not my job to..." and OHMYGOD I can't tell you how many times that phrase has come out of these women's mouths. They have a long long list of what their job ISN'T, but seem to have no idea what it is. Certainly nothing resembling customer service. They get you into the lease and then when they got you, well, 'f' you after that, you're on your own. NEVER in my entire life have I encountered this level of unprofessionalism. And if it was my tax preparer, I could just get a new one. But they've got me in this effing contract so I've been stuck here for almost a year and I tell you I am going to RUN out this motherfu**er when my lease is up. I've tried to contact corporate, my letter went unacknowledged. A phone call produced some result, but overall nothing has changed. I hate it here.
OH! ANd the apartments themselves are backwards! Yes, backwards! My front door faces the ohter building while my backdoor faces the parking lot, so I have to enter and exit through my back door, the outlets are all upside down, the intake vent is on the floor of the main wall so you have to put your couch there but then can't put it up against the wall and the washer and dryer are in the kitchen. Because of the ants I can't leave my trashcan by the backdoor so I have to put it by the W&D so there's smelly trash right beside my clean laundry. I have lived in 5 different communities in Columbus, and this one is BY FAR the worst. I can't wait to leave.

it only gets worse i lived there for a year and my car was broken into 3 times, my apartment was infested with roaches, maintenance never fixed things right the first time, there are a bunch of unruly children wandering around, and gun shootings almost every weekend. the office staff is a joke they are always at "lunch" or never there. i found that there is a company website www.bannerapartments.com and at the bottom it says "contact us" there you can find the head office address and phone number. you will probally need that. im so sorry you moved in there but at least its only for 1 year. best wishes :D
