When we first moved in things were okay (NOT GREAT) but i was willing to give them a chance. As time went on I started to see things for what they really were...
This is not a place I want to stay at any longer. In fact, if we could move before the lease was up, we would move TODAY!!!

Now first of all the building I stay in has 1 working elevator most of the time. One of the 3 elevators in the building hasnt worked since we moved in this past Dec.2008 It is now Oct 2009 and it still doesnt work. The elevator closest to my apartment has to be pulled open most of the time. It jerks and shakes when you get on it or push a button.

right after I had my baby they posted signs in our building saying that the water would be off from about 9am until about 2 or 3pm the same day. Well that wasnt the case. We were without water from about 9am until 12:45am and when it did come back on i didnt have any pressure and it wouldnt get hot. I had called all day asking about the water and everytime all i was told was is "THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE BACK ON"...

The only one that seems to know anything about the building is Stephaine (sorry if spelled wrong). I have never had any issues with her. She seems nice.

I did a check list when I first moved in and I listed everything wrong that I could find and none of the problems have been fixed. The checklist was done in Dec. 2008. After we moved in we saw the poor quailty of the apartment.

- dirty sticky kitchen cabinets
- kitchen cabinets painted with wall paint and done poorly
- old old old bathroom counters, mirrors, medicine cabinets, and floor tiles.
- hugh holes in the walls of the bathrooms behind the counters
- dirty sticky closet selves
- leaky bathroom pipes
- the wall in the dining room was cracking and still is
- area between the stove and counter was dirty
- bathroom floors needed to be mopped
- dishwasher is old and doesnt really get the dishes clean (it only wets them)
- one of the locks on the door didnt work (and the maintenance man act like he didnt want to fix it)
- nob on the stove for the oven didnt work and still doesnt work so we never know when the oven is on or off.
- the walls are very thin (When someone around my apartment smokes it smells like they are sitting right next to me smoking. It is that strong)
- really bad problem with spiders
- the people across the hall from us moved out a week after we moved in and nobody has moved in yet..in fact there are several empty apartments on my floor..
- there was a ROACH on the hallway wall with an egg hanging out of it.

I can not stay here anymore...I pay a pretty penny in rent but my apartment looks awful. It took me calling 3 days straight to get them to have someone come and plow, salt and shovel the parking lot and walkways.

the washing machines in my building dont wash the clothes good at at. It took me washing at my grandmothers house to see that and see has an old used washer and dryer.

the people above us, for about a month everytime they flush their toilet, water would drip from the vent into our toilet.

went to the pool one day this past summer and it was dirty

hallways smell like mildew

for about a week, the doors to get into the building wouldnt open so all the doors had to be propped open so tenants could get in, but so could anybody else.

There is so much more I can say about Richmond Park Apartments but I am getting tired, but what i will say is that I will never live in another property owned by Niederst Management again.

TRUE, TRUE,and TRUE again! I know first hand. and I can bet that you live in "C" building also known as the 440 building! When your lease is up, GET OUT!!! And tell everyone you know to stay away!

I agree wholeheartedly. It sounds like the B building to me. Yes, the spiders are the worst and no matter what I spray myself and I can't stop them from coming. I thought I was only one having problems with the dishwasher and the washing machines. I don't even use them anymore at all. I thought I was doing my laundry wrong, I had changed detergents and everything! Unfortunately I'm still there but definitely plan to move at the end of my lease. I've been there for a number of years through the transition of the management companies and Niederst is the definitely the worst...I miss Skyline Management.

I agree 100% with everything, we have been tenants here for three years, Niederst is the WORST!!! There is never a time when all the washers or dryers work, the building is supposed to be secure but sporadicly the doors are propped open, damage is done to the apartments by maintanence and not repaired, it seems the longer you live here the harder to have repairs done. The only person who seems to care about the tenants is Stephanie, along with Gary who is always trying to keep B building clean and Percy who seems to know anything about maintenance. I MISS SKYLINE!!! Niederst is only interested in momthly rent, the clientele of tenants is awful now!!! It seems they are trying to make this a SECTION 8 atmosphere!!! The hallways, elevators and laundry room are nasty, the pool seems never to be clean or in condition for tenants to enjoy year round.

Yeah Percy is nice...... being here makes me mad because I pay all this rent and nothing here is up to par. I can't really speak on other buildings but C building sucks. The only issue that I have with other tenants is their loud ass tenagers...... I can say this, today I did not have to pull the elevator door open. It opened on its own, now tomorrow may be a different story. I was really hoping that someone in the office would read and comment on my review. They need to step they game up because a lot of people have moved out and only a few have in. There are still quite a few empty apartments on my floor and they have been empty every since we moved in. No one wants to live here, and the people that live here can't wait to move. They charge way to much for these old school, ugly ass apartments.......if I didn't care so much about my credit, I would skip out on the lease....

We cannot agree more what people have stated above. We couldn't wait to move out because of the bad management and maintenance of the property. The Niderst Management DOES NOT care anything about the quality of service to maintain a good community. The owner's daughter was (maybe is) the manager here and she was really rude! Stay away from Niderst to make yourself happy!

I have been waiting for months to get a new lock to my glass sliding door, new tiles for bathroom, paint that is peeling on ceiling. I offered to paint my apartment. I am still waiting for Adrian to give me the exact color of the paint. It seems that this people don't want my business. They are not interested in retaining their existing customer base.

I agree with everything said. I got out when my lease was up! Someone from management called to try and convince me to stay. I said thanks but no thanks. And I agree, it is a Section 8-like atmosphere now. Came home to some unsavory characters on more than one occasion. Didn't want my kid to be exposed to them so I got the hell outta Dodge...

I lived in these apartments for one year. I paid way too much for the conditionof my apartment. The shower leaked in the master bedroom and in the master closet so much the there was mold growing up the walls. The kitchen sink pipes were taped with duct tape to cover the huge hole into the wall. The dushwasher had standing water most of the time that smelled so we never used it. Also the managment office charged us a whole months rent for turning our keys in 6 hours too late. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
