This was my Home away from Home

My children and I had to move out of our home unexpectedly due to a domestic issue. There was nothing more difficult to do then to leave the home I had worked so hard for and so hard on. Attempting to transition from a fairly decent size home to an apartment was a difficult reality but I could not afford the expense of purchasing another house. After searching properties in and around the Stow, Ohio area, I came across Hunington Hills Townhomes. I immediately went to the office after seeing one of their recently remodeled townhome suites and wrote a check for the deposit. The suite was so roomy and had all of the important ammentities that I needed to replace my old home comparably: 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, 2 floors, washer and dryer hookups, beautifully remodeled kitchen with new oak cabinetry and titanium/ black finish appliances, and last but not least on a long list of upgrades, a garage. The difference between my old home and this was the use of tennis courts and a pool which I used to pay extra for at the rec center. My particular unit faced the courtyard and I cannot recall more than 2 evenings out of the two years that I have spent there that it was not quiet enough to hear a pin drop. The management staff and maintenance were friendly and responsive to any requests with great care and diligence for their work, although I had few maintenance requests because my suite was so well remodeled and taken care of. The maintenance man, Tim, is wonderful and literally lives and breathes Hunington Hills Properties because he is not just a caretaker, he is a resident. This property definitley takes pride in their property and for the most part, so do the majority of the tenant. For as large as the property is, this residential community was quiet, convenient, and my family's Home away from Home. Had I not had to relocate as a result of family, school, and work; I would still be residing there. Thank you Hunington Hills Staff:) Tenant 4455:)

I too had to move from my home of almost 15 years to this townhome - and believe me - I wish my experience was as good as yours. The townhome was nicely done throughout no doubt about it, maybe stove too old but it works, just not used to 3 small burners and only one large. Never complained about that, everything was nice. One example of what I complained about was the snow being pushed infront of our units WITHOUT A PATH TO THE CARS/PARKING LOT. Over the past weekend we got alot of snow - ALOT! My husband who plows on the side plowed one spot(I was stuck at work so did not come home for 2 days) for his truck and a neighbor asked him to plow his spot which he was glad to do. Both my husband and the neighbor shoveled not only infront of our units but made sure there was a pathway CLEAR to get to the cars. Meanwhile - the inhouse plowers did a lousy job with the rest - I have pictures of Monday morning at 8:30 cars still had snow up to the bumpers and it did not snow at all on Sunday, plenty of time to get it cleared for people to leave for work on Monday. Didn't happen - at least in my section. I saw them as I was leaving about that time 8:30-9:00am Monday. I came home to a letter from management that they were making a note to ALL MY NEIGHBORS that it wasn't their people who plowed the snow that way. My husband plowed 2 spots - that is it. And now they are going to blame him for the lousy plow jobs - isn't that just professional? She said that she took pictures because MY husband plowed it in a way that I complained about. When I talked to the maint. guy I told him it wasn't how the snow was plowed but that there were NO CLEAR PATHWAYS TO THE CARS. My husband and our neighbor made sure there were clear paths for people to walk. Maint. did come by with a snow blower and did the rest of the sidewalk which is very nice. But management now is getting rediculous with the notes to neighbors before getting the real story. And I am going by her letter, her words not just something I have made up. That is only one example of the unprofessional manner I have had to deal with. I'm glad you had a great stay here and I hope others have a better experience than I have had. The maint. guy does live and breath this place that is true - and it is a shame that in my opinion he is way over worked for one guy who wants to make everyone happy but has to go by the 'priority list' of management. He tries hard to take stress off management - I'm not sure that is a two way street or maybe he'd have a little help.

I too was in the same situation of having to leave my home after
15 years. I lived at Huntington Hills for 2 years and everything was
good with the manager at first. Then as the time went on, she changed.
She was very short with her answers and sometimes didn't even have to
time to take care of the problems. She always told us to call and let
her know when there was a problem, then when we did, she was very rude.
The maintenance man can only due so much, he also has to follow her
rules. When asked who the owner of the condos were, I was always told
that she couldn't give out that information. I feel that the real
owner should know exactly how the manager is. There needs to be a
change.......

So one unit gets black titanium appliances and the rest have appliances that are so old they have rust holding them together because they are the same ones since 1975?

Our complex was built in 1981 so the 1975 appliances is not accurate. As well if snow is a big complaint we live in northeast ohio, we have vendors who do the work and a good job. We did get 20 inches over night. This is not the only place they had to plow.

You people every think about how you might be hurting someone's feelings. What goes around comes around so remember that the next time you slander someone.

If you write something, its libel not slander, and for the record its not libelous if its true. The real owners are Siegel Properties
