I wanted to follow up on a response written to the review below, dated 3-26-08, titled Good and Bad

The comment, as written by 'hhmanagement' aka the current HH Property Manager:
"FYI I don't need to have other people write reviews because I could care less what is wrote on this site."

If you truly 'cared less', then why do you constantly stalk this site and tear apart people who don't think HH is the best complex in the area? I lived here back in 2003, and I will admit it was overall one of the best places I have ever lived while renting. After moving out of state, I have rented at a few other places that were horrible compared to HH. I now own my home, but overall HH was a great place to rent from, at least back then.

That aside, after I moved out I came to this site and gave a review. My review mentioned mostly positives as I did have a good experience, but to be fair I did mention a few downsides, especially during the final walk-through and checkout process. Overall, I gave HH a thumbs up and mostly 5-out-of-5 reviews, yet I was berated by 'hhmanagement' for my 'false negative review'. The response to my post, written by hhmanagement , was written to belittle me. I was made to feel as if I was a deadbeat piece of garbage renter who left my apartment in shambles when I left. That is the farthest from the truth, as it was left in near-move-in condition, about as good as an apartment can look after being lived in for a year by someone who was rarely home and a neat freak.

As the property manager, I think you need to realize that not all tenants with complaints have poor payment history or have lack of respect for neighbors. I was rarely home, was probably unheard by neighbors, and always paid my rent on time. Just because a review has some negatives doesn't mean you have a bad rental community. But the fact that you come on this site and berate ANYONE who says ANYTHING bad about HH shows your immaturity and poor management skills.

I agree that some people will come on websites like this and exaggerate, or write false reviews. I d think statistics would show more bad reviews that good for any property, only because people are more likely to write a review to complain and make their complaints (true or not) known to as many people as possible. People that have good experiences are less likely to share the good news with the world.

I hope hhmanagement takes something from my comments above to understand how unprofessional she is making herself appear to possible future renters of your community!

I completely agree with the above referenced review. Also in a review dated 3/19 Not updated- hhmanagement responded "A true honest review would show the good and room for improvement." When a good, honest review is written pointing out those aspects that require improvement, especially since the tenants reviewing ARE the ones living in their units, they are attacked and torn apart by the manager who wants to throw her weight around in a completely inappropriate manner. This is not the way to be a professional, and I hope she never leaves HH because she will find out in the real world that this type of behavior and response is not tolerated and it is NOT the way to run or improve the flaws of your business. Many businesses of all types uses critiques to improve their position, and not degrade their customers. Thats what your tenants are- your customers.

And so it starts, I just got a call from my brother- my co-signer - they management has called him - yes him, not me the renter - that the carpet needs replaced and HE is responsible. I took pictures and had other people walk through it with me before I left. NO STAINS - the snag yes but was told by maint. it could be fixed but NO all the carpet needs replaced. Don't call me - call my brother - this is how low management gets. I am so glad I took pictures of everything and had other people walk through it. I called maint. who said there are white stains and it has to be checked out - so why are they calling my brother - not me- when they haven't even had it checked out yet themselves!!?? There were NO white stains what so ever - I don't know what they are up to but this smells bad - BEWARE. I also told them if there were any major items to give me copies of receipts - which maint. said NO PROBLEM so I can turn them into my insurance - since I was expecting the snag to be an issue - but no - call my brother and scare him. NICE EH???? This is even BEYOND what I was expecting to deal with. **Another edit note - I did ask my brother if managment specifically said to him - he would have to be responsible for the carpets and he said yes - he requested pictures - that what ever my deposit didn't cover he could be responsible for. In her email she said I falsely put that in here - but she did say He would be responsible and it looks like the carpet needed replaced.

Sue them in small claims court. they need to provide you with itemitized deductions and white spots and a snag are not worthy of an entire security deposit.
