Neiborhood was OKAY, but unless you want to be charged for everything that breaks in your apartment, don't live here. If it breaks, it is automatically your fault and you must pay for it. We pay a decent amount money to live here, but where is it going? Obviously not into the community or updating the units, because if the units were up to date we wouldnt have things breaking left and right. The units are cheaply made and poorly maintained. Management is AWEFUL. I have lived here for quite a while, have always paid my rent --------------------- the rules, have never been loud or disrespectful and yet we are still treated like crap. They are nice at first, but once you move in they are nothing but rude, snippy, and lazy. --- needs to retire or start doing his job right. We have actually had to call him and ask him to come back and finish a job he started. He made a lot of excuses as to why he didnt finish, unfortunately for him we are more knowledgable that he thought and caught what he was trying to do. Who actually makes you replace the burners on your stove when you move out?? I would never recommend this place and tend to let the real owners know whats going on.

I agree with the review and the above response. Management is horrible. The manager is always ready to blame the tenant, when she is the one to blame. Always, always make sure you check your money when you move out. They give you a list of things they are charging you for. How can the maintenance man tell you on his walk through that it looks like the charges are about $38.00, then the manager walks through and you end up being charged $500.00. Check with the BBB. Huntington Hills has been reported a few ---es. There are alot of issues there that really need to be addressed. The owner needs to step in and seriously take a look at what goes on.

No one has ever been charged to replace a burner, a pan and ring that is grease covered yes. Charges are determined by comparing your move in check list to your move out condition, if you have damage,( not normal wear and tear) you will be charged, here or anywhere. I think it is funny that the author even mentions we are nice until move out, and that they lived here for a while, which tells me obviously they did not return their apartment in good condition. Then and only then the landlords are called Slumlords. Your comments are completely false and hold no merit. People need to realize that this site allows for anyone to make up things and post them as anonymous. If it were true you would put you full name and a number for people to contact you. Our maintenance department is very good and to even try to say he is lazy or uncaring is a joke. The owners for this complex know exactly how lucky they are to have such good staff members and your comments only prove that we look out for their best interest and don't waste their money on damages that should be paid for by tenants, this is not improving the apartment it is returning it as you received. If our staff was so lazy why were we cleaning gutters? When he goes up the latter over a picture window its normal to glance in. Anyone walking by could do the same thing, keep your blinds closed. We have waiting lists to become a resident at Huntington Hills because it is obvious we maintain, improve and care about this community. People think that when you rent that all damages are covered because you pay rent. But that is untrue. You must pay for damage or turn in to your renters Insurance. Rental rates are determined on the amount of renovation. Everyone views your apartment before move in, if you didn't like it or felt it was not maintained then why would you not put these concerns on your move in report or not move in? As well we maintenance all our appliances and don't have the need to replace when broken. With the poor manufacturing of new appliances the older ones hold up better to the heavy use of multiple tenants with different house keeping conditions. This is why we have a maintenance staff. All appliances are in good condition. People note that we supply one smoke detector, but allow for you to add as many as you feel you need. Then take it with you when you move. With regards to furnace filters we replace 2 ---es a year, but if you want additonal changes you can call in a work order and request, very simple. We want people to like their home and remember we own the investment and through our mortgage company are required inspections to make sure we are not SLUMLORDs and have been given glowing reports with NO deferred maintenance noted. I would remind anyone who needs anything addressed with your apartment, it will not happen unless you call in a work order. People should be careful when they slander people or a properties reputation because this web site does not protect you even if you are anonymonus against legal action.

I love how 'hhmanagement', aka the psycho-stalker to this website apartment manager, writes: "...that they lived here for a while, which tells me obviously they did not return their apartment in good condition." Yes, PLEASE assume that just because a tenant lived on your premises for a few years that they are SLOBS. You should DEFINITELY nickel-and-dime them for all of the 'normal wear-and-tear' that should be allowed as per the contract. WAY TO GO, 'hhmanagement'. Accept the fact that your community is NOT perfect. People have good AND BAD things to say - let them comment here without being a crazy stalker!

Let's also note the author of the review said management is nice until you MOVE IN ...If you want to keep tentants and keep them happy maybe the staff should learn some manners

They charge you for 35 year old burners on a stove they won't replace until it blows up because they are nothing more than landlords who take your rent and don't improve the property until you are ready to move out and they threaten you with your security deposits until you pay to improve the apartment for them. In my opinion, they attempt to maximize profit by minimizing spending on property maintenance. --- will never do his job right....why would he. He still has a job after not fixing anything right, gives a million excuses why something isn't broken, no weekend or after hours appointments for people who work or have a family. He doesn't have to fix anything right because --- backs everything he does and doesn't listen to anyone. She would rather have good tenants who pay their rent on ---e move out then deal with properly managing the apartments, or investing a little cash in something other than mulch beds. Most tenants would prefer a unit in good, functioning order then mulch that really does nothing to improve my quality of living. --- is too lazy or too dumb to fix things. I have never lived in a place where you have to call repeatedly to get things fixed right even after multiple trips. Or a place that puts in the 30 day air filters for an entire year because they are cheaper then getting one year filters, or a place that is too cheap to put in a second smoke detector. Talk about a fire hazard, one smoke detector for 2 floors. Huntington Hills needs Maitenance for Dummies... Or Appliances for Dummies. It could be a toss up which book they need more. If my comments are completely false and provide no merit, then why did I have a stack of maitenance requests for the exact same thing and it remained broken till the day I moved out because maitenance just couldn't get it toegther and didn;t know how or what to do to fix it, and instead of replacing it the solution was just keep sending him back to waste everyone's ---e. This comment would be libelous if I gave HH rave reviews and said everything was perfect- because that would be NOT TRUE IN FACT. There may be a waiting list to live in these conveniently located apartments, but you can tell how truly satisfied your tenants are by looking at your apartment turnover rate. Its unfortunate that the manager and maitenance man would rather be rude and ignore the issues of tenants who always pay their rent on ---e and caused no problems. Its easier for them to say "its a false negative review" than to look at the issue at hand which is why this dissatisfied ex tenant who paid their rent on ---e and never recieved one complaint moved out to a property where maitenance does their job and the management actually acts in current and future tenants best interest by matter of IMPROVING the property....
