When we first moved here, there was a promise about not renting to college students.

They wanted to maintain a professional stature about the place and truly rent to people working in the area or even to small families.

The neighborhood seemd rather friendly and situated close enough to schools, stores, and the University, that bringing my family here seemed to perfect for the interim postion I had to have.

However, that quickly changed after the first year.

It seemed that as more vacancies showed in the complex, the more students started to move in.

The prmoise of family and professional living was quickly filled with having to tell the neighbors to quiet down at 3am or listening to parties take place with an apartment full of undergraduates.

For us, it was a struggle to maintain good relations with neighbors when they seemingly disrespected living in close quarters with other people.

Although I was very surprised at the lack of insulation in the winter time which did raise our gas bill.

We were not warned of this when we looked at the condo and that was our fault for not asking.

But the windows and the walls are not insulated well.

One last negative was the way in which the residents did not respect the speed limit within the complex.

There were times when it was dangerous for people to be walking and leaving the grounds.

It is posted as 5 mph although 15 is adequate.

But peple often are doing betwen 20-30 in the summer.

Loud cars and motorcycles are often on the property (summer only).

The maintenance staff is very good.

We found them very willing to try and work out issues with the unit whenever they occured.

They did help with noise issues.

The quality of their response to issues was impeccable.

It may be that the only reason things were tolerable was due to their efforts.
