They do not do anything to apartments before you move in. I moved out at 11:00 pm on a Friday night and there was someone living in my apartment on Saturday. I know becuase I forgot something in the dishwasher so I went to the office to have them let me in and someone was moved in. I am pretty sure they did not come in the middle of the night to paint, clean carpets, clean the apartment, etc... Even after leaving the place spotless I am still fighting to get my security deposit back.
When living here it was horrible. Many times I did not have hot water sometimes for days so I had to go and stay with someone else. One time water was pouring in my living room from the ceiling (I mean filling up a bucket every hour or so). And maintance did not come for 4 days to fix it. Another maintance request I put in because neither the sink or tub would turn off all the water so water was always streaming out (not dripping) and it took a month and 4 requests to get this fix. It was not until I was in the office and told them I would not leave until they sent someone down. I made a request to not have maintance in my apartemnt unless I was there or it was an emergency. I told them they could call me and I would be there when they were coming. Yet more than once, they just came into my apartment (and it was not to fix anything I requested).
Twice I had to get a lawyer and the Fair Housing Association invovled becasue of the horrible state of the apartment. And it took a call from a lawyer to get anything fixed.
The office staff is horrible. THey all seem friendly but many times I was told one thing and then when I followed through on it, I had management calling me telling me the office told me the wrong rule. (ex. I was trying to set up a date to move out, someone in the office told me the date I had given them was fine and they gave me a prorated rent price. But then when I gave them a check for this much with the note from the office, management called me and told me the girl in the office did not know what she was talking about and I could not move out unless I paid an outragous amount of money).
I called the management company several times because the property manager was not able to help me and it took more than 10 calls and a few weeks before anyone called me back.
They tell you about concrete walls and not hearing anything. That is all a joke too. I could constantly hear my neighbors TV, hear them talking, I could hear the radio and tv of the apartment upstiars. There was never a quiet moment in this building. Besides the state of the apartement and unfriendly staff, the other people living there make the expeirence worse. The apartment next to me had about 10 people living in it, they were always loud and banging stuff I could never sleep. They used to grill out on the patio so my entire apartment would fill up with smoke from their grill. I told the office but they said they did not have time to go down and tell them it was against the rules but they would put out a notice. So I finally resorted to calling the fire department before this was resolved. Many times in the middle fo the night the people next to me would be screaming and fighting. They woudl slam doors in the hallway and scream at each other across the hallway. This also resulted in several call to the police station. But of course ever time an officer came, everyone suddently claimed to speak no english.
I moved in Jan. 2006 and was told the club house would be done in the spring. Guess what its fall/winter 2007 and that place is still not done. What a crock of lies. Also the parking lot is never plowed and management is never in the office even when their office hours say they are open. People just leave early and come late as they please. So good luck getting a hold of anyone.
SO BASICALLY SAVE YOURSELF TONS OF HASSLE AND STRESS AND ------ LIVING AND MOVE SOMEONE ELSE. THE RENT IS NOT CHEAP ENOUGH FOR ME TO EVER LIVE IN THIS PLACE OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. AND THEY JUST RAISE THE RENT EVERY YEAR- AFTER MY FIRST YEAR IT WAS GOING TO BE A $120 INCREASE IN MY MONTHLY RENT TO CONTINUE LIVING HERE. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! RUN FAST!! bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

My experience here has been just the opposite. I have seen tenants come and go, and the apartments have always been cleaned, painted and carpets cleaned before a new tenant moves in. I do know of one special circumstance where people moved in and then the walls were painted and the carpet cleaned. I also have seen large appliances being replaced, as well as new kitchen tile laid. Your response to maintenance is quite revealing. You resent them no matter when they come. You must remember that you are are a renter, not an owner. You do have a right to your privacy, but maintenance has the right and the responsibility to enter your apartment to make repairs. You can't have it both ways. You called the police and fire department on your neighbors ? Did you ever go to them and ask them to please turn down the tv ? As for the smoke - close your windows and balcony doors ! By the way, your racial slur has been noted...... And, you end your review by shouting in capital letters - a practice which is unwelcome on almost every forum. In this world, people do make noise, and sometimes they do fight and slam doors. People use their outdoor grills. That's life... And not everyone is able to comply with your wishes on your timetable. This is the real world. Grow up...

actually, I completely agree with this review. as a previous employee i have seen first hand the terrible management for both properties. although i must say....it is not the ppl working ON the property....it is the ppl at the head office in cleveland. with refusal to pay more to hire more ppl or refusal to budget the property any $$$ it was very difficult to accomplish things. 1 maintenace and 1 cleaning person for over 200 units is very difficult to handle. trust me, as employees, they hate the place just as much if not more than the residents!

You can tell how crappy the management is. They continually log onto this website and pretend to be tenants. Tenants who are happy with their apartments don't log onto ratings websites to argue.
