I am so happy to have moved to shady lake. My old place was dirty and not safe for me and my son. I feel so much happier and safer at shady lake. The staff was very helpful to me including getting me the phone numbers for the utilities and the schools for my son.
I am sure I will be very happy here. The grounds are beautiful and my neighbors all seem very pleasant.

Maybe people are newer to this complex and dont know, or have lower standards. This site is here for people to give their reviews to potential people coming in, and if I had known what I know now I would not of lived here. I am passing that on in hopes others see. I know I "can not hurt them" and "Time Warner is (allegedly) coming to the rescue" for a couple of years now but the service here is a joke. There is also the lack of cable with very limited channels and no HD. There are other problems here but they have been said. If they dont want me here or they dont need me or there is this waiting list then let me break the lease. I cant hurt them as was said, its too big, Im just hoping someone else sees all that has gone on here, and the complete non concern, no case of urgency, and the lies told by the people who run this place. For some reason it is defended by a couple of people who defended a (allegedly) rented appartment with no ties or working there like its their home or even their child when they know the service is horrible and people have just been lied to and jerked around. There is nothing I can do now but ride the lease out (because I have tried and with "as well as they are doing, and the waiting list to get in" they wont let me out, so hopefully someone sees all of this and stays away. I'm done posting here, hopefully it all helps someone.

I've lived here for 2 yrs. and I totally agree to all that has been said I wouldn't placed my enemy here to stay. The management here treats their tenants like concrete trailpark trash. No matter what your problem is they always smile at you and tell you some lie that they feel will just make you go away. They don't care because it's not their problem. When it snows they don't clean the parking areas and they expect you to rent a garage and walk ON THE ICE to your car and if you fall oh-h well that's on you. they don't put down salt or solvents. they just really don't care. They only clean the hallways when they are bringing around a new applicate to view an apt for leasing. My upstairs neighbor had a water leak into my apartment. maintance did nothing all of my linens in my closet were ruined and had to be thrown out. I could go on but I think I have said enough. I hope you get the picture and think before deciding to move here.

Shady Lake Apartments is without a doubt "THE" worst possible choice any human being with a brain could make with regards to a roof over their head. The management with the exception of the leasing agents Tina, Mariah, and Heather (who is no longer there,...lucky her!) SUCKS! I'm speaking specifically of the manager of the complex,...(Claudine Gillette!) This woman Lies repeatedly to her residents, Plays favorites to the point of discrimination,..Uses excuse after excuse to get her way and get her money!!! This is a horrible excuse for a human being if there ever was one. Full of hatred,..full of discrimination,...She even went as far as to not hire a maintenance man due to the fact that she didn't like the way his eye looked!!!! (FACT).. Thats what millennium mgt is all about,..Raising property standards,...One screw job at a time! People need to be warned about this woman and this company.,...."SHE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!~!~!" Millennium management is not your friend. Shady lake Apartments within the next 3 to 4 years will be sold out to someone else and eventually be a Shady Lake SLUM! As sweet and kind as the manager may be before you move in,....well,..enjoy it for the whole 8 minutes because once your in,...her true colors shine forth!!! "WITH A VENGEANCE!" This woman is evil,evil,evil,evil, EVIL!" I personally know for a fact that people have had the full makings of a law suit from slipping on the parking lots that never get salted. I used to see the maintenance men throwing salt on the parking lots (even though they were not allowed to) just to try to make things safer. One of the maintenance staff even told me that they were instructed to "NOT" help any individuals that may have fallen on the ice,...instead they were instructed by Claudine Gillette to simply "walk away!?" Yup! Just let the 90yr old woman lie in the snow and ice. Nice huh!~?...DO NOT MOVE HERE~~~~ I guarantee you will regret it. The place seems nice at first. Then reality hits you! Your rent continuously goes up every year, There are "0" ammenities on the property. No pool, no weight room,..not even a playground for kids. No basketball hoop,..no rec-center,...absolutely nothing! There's a picnic area in the back with a tennis court that nobody ever used because it's been situated right next to an algea covered pond for 13 years~...It stinks to high heaven during the summer and breeds billions of mosquito's. FUN FUN! I will say one thing in Shady Lakes Favor,...."NOT!" Think twice before you sign a lease with these money hungry creeps from planet zimbot,...because you will be sorry if you do! Their job is to screw you out of your last dime! And with regards to the internet,...well,...12 years went by before they finally broke down and got time warner! The reason they did this finally is because the residents revolted,...posted signs on all the post office areas saying "are you tired of the lousy internet?" etc,.etc,..then a website was created specifically targeting the lousy service. This ,...THE TIME WARNER AND ROADRUNNER is the "ONLY" ammenity you will find here!~ My wife and I are finally free of that place and in our own home now. We strongly advise finding another place to live~ SHADY LAKE APARTMENTS SUCK!!!!!! If you don't believe me,.....go ahead and sign a lease :) When you realize I'm right,....It'll already be too late~!....And I won't be around to say "I TOLD YA SO!" Cheers :)
