I lived at Laurel Creek Apartments for five years and of all the apartments I have lived at I would consider this place top notch. The management was very helpful and went above and beyond to satisfy my every request. The maintenance staff was very attentative and did all repairs in a timely manner. The units are very quiet not like other apartments I have rented in the past where the noise of everyday activity could be heard from the apartment adjacent to mine. The apartments are newer and very well built. The management offers after hours emergency phone number where emergencies are dealt with on holidays and after hours. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone in need of housing in the Troy area.

I cant help but comment on one of the other residents comments in regard to the rental rates and how you could own a home for the same amount money he was paying. I find this comment incorrect and uneducated. As a previous owner of a home I know the cost of home ownership. You have of course your monthly mortgage payment which on the average generally cost between 700 and 800 dollars per month even with a moderate interest rate on a $100,000 home. In addition, you have property tax which in Troy is about $2500 per year on the average, insurance and maintenance. So looking at the numbers you can expect to pay between 1100 and or 1200 dollars per month for home ownership.

I found First Troys rates reasonable for the product I was receiving.
